Naproxen Plus – how does it work? Indications for the use of Naproxen Plus

Naproxen Plus is a preparation with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties, used, among others, in in family medicine, gynecology and rheumatology. The drug is used primarily by patients suffering from joint diseases. Naproxen Plus is available over the counter.

Indications for the use of Naproxen Plus

  1. muscle and joint pain, e.g. after bruises and sprains;
  2. inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles;
  3. osteoarthritis;
  4. gout attacks;
  5. dysmenorrhea.

Naproxen Plus, contraindications and warnings

  1. Naproxen Plus should not be used on mucous membranes, damaged skin or in case of skin inflammation; avoid contact of Naproxen Plush with your eyes; if the preparation gets into the eyes, rinse them with plenty of water.
  2. During the use of Naproxen Plus and for 2 weeks after the end of treatment, exposure to solar radiation (including radiation in the solarium) should be avoided.
  3. Use with caution in people who have a history of allergic reactions (e.g. rash, itching) to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; in people with liver or kidney failure; in people with ulceration of the intestine or with a hemorrhagic diathesis.
  4. With prolonged use on large areas of the skin surface, there is a risk of systemic side effects; in the event of their occurrence, the use of the preparation should be discontinued.
  5. Naproxen Plus should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
  6. There are no data on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive vehicles.
  7. The following may occur: local skin irritation, photosensitivity reactions.
  8. After long-term use of Naproxen Plus on large surfaces, possible side effects resulting from the general effects of naproxen (nausea, drowsiness, diarrhea, headaches, hypersensitivity reactions).
