Myths and truths about food delivery services
By the end of the 2010s, it became clear: food is not only a trip to a restaurant, a Sunday dinner with parents or a pizza at home in moments of spiritual sadness. This is philosophy and culture.
At the beginning of 2017, the Russian gloss unanimously proclaimed: chefs are now new rock stars. A year later, there are more and more people who want to become a part of the new trend, as well as opportunities to learn how to cook. The most comfortable of them is to order a service constructor from fresh products with recipes to your home. But many are still skeptical about this venture. What if it’s too expensive? What if the menu doesn’t work, or you can’t cook it? Experts from “
Cooking restaurant meals is too difficult – a myth
If you decide to study on your own from cookbooks and forums, then, of course, the result will be unpredictable. But grocery chain delivery services don’t leave newbies in trouble. For example, each Chefmarket set is equipped with a detailed photo recipe that tells everything – even how to cut potatoes correctly. All recipes were made by the chefs who developed the dishes: the official brand chef of Jamie Oliver Group in Russia Matteo Lai, the winner of the Masterchef culinary show at STS Rafael Kazumyan and other professionals. Moreover, all the recipes have been tested “in action”, and the products for them will be delivered in the required quantity. So you don’t have to puzzle over what the author meant when he said “put in a little garlic” and “add milk until the dough gets the desired consistency.”
The quality of products cannot be verified – a myth
There is such a risk if you buy village products at the market – there it is difficult to check whether the hen that laid these eggs was healthy. Salads from “our own cooking” or marinated meat from a large retailer is also questionable – it is almost impossible to understand exactly when the first freshness ended and the marinade began.
Everything that food delivery services offer undergoes strict control: any meals with delivery (including grocery sets) comply with GOSTs and TU. Serious companies arrange additional internal checks for products – for example, Shefmarket uses the GIS Mercury: this the system allows you to trace the origin of meat, fish and eggs. All products are necessarily certified and labeled – on each package of a piece of salmon, beef or egg delivered to you, you can see when and by whom they were produced, how they are packed, how to store them and for how long.
So you can lose weight – really
But the truth is with reservations. There are services that specialize specifically in low-calorie dishes – a good option to button up your favorite pencil skirt in a month, but not always interesting. Of course, they won’t offer you a dull union of chicken breast with unsalted rice – those days are gone – but the choice of dietary dishes will be small. Services that have several menu lines are much more thorough in the development of sets.
Chefmarket delivers sets of products and recipes for families with children, athletes, vegans, those who want to try something original, and separately – for those who are losing weight. Turkey cordon blue with carrot sauce, baked balsamic beef with broccoli sauté,

It’s cheaper to order grocery delivery from the store or buy it yourself – a myth
If you try to order the products included in the set in a supermarket, the cost will be approximately the same. Another thing is that one store may not have all the necessary ingredients: for example, a good tenderloin, truffle oil, sweet potatoes and maple syrup without sugar – and without them
