On the set, a whole series of mystical events took place, as if someone was trying to stop the process. Actress Natalya Varley, who played the main role, was very sick for a very long time. Although before that, she had no health problems.

After the film, she did not act in film for a long time – the cinema seemed to turn away from her. Among other troubles, she lost her husband. During the filming of the main scenes that took place in Ukraine, the old church involved in the shooting burned down at night.

In addition, as the actress says, she took the recording of the film with her, traveling by sea. However, she did not manage to see it. Every time she tried to turn it on, a violent storm started.

The film “The Master and Margarita”

There are rumors about the “curse” of Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita”, where one of the main characters is the devil. The series “The Master and Margarita” directed by Vladimir Bortko was released in 2005.

• January 25, 2009 – actor Yuri Oskin (doorman Nikolai) passed away;
• December 23, 2009 – Galina Barkova passed away. The role of a fruit saleswoman;
• February 25, 2010 – Vladislav Galkin, the performer of the role of Ivan Bezdomny, was found dead in the apartment;
• April 20, 2010 – Valentina Egorenkova died (the role of a nurse in a mental hospital);
