Throughout two intense days, Mixology (X) Trends, is presented in Madrid as the International Congress on Trends in cocktails and gastronomic harmonies
On the 28th and 29th of September this meeting will take place in the capital of Spain that brings the hospitality sector closer to the exciting world of spirits brands and their incessant creative work in the field of cocktails.
An event full of experiences that raises the new concept of the Mixology, as a new way to innovate and create, within the gastronomic panorama, which opens up a very exciting panorama to all those involved in the process of making spirits or culinary.
The Mixogoly (X) Trends event program
Throughout the days of celebrations, the latest trends in the sector will be known within its exhibition space, accompanied by training content. It will have the presence of:
- Francois Monti (Madrid) with his lecture lecture: When Spain agitated Cuba.
- Rudi Carraro (London) with his Surrealism 2015.
- Luca Anastasio (Madrid) where he will offer us his Essay on creativity
- Charles Joly (Chicago) with Beyond the Bar, Branching out as a cocktail entrepreneur.
- Philip Duff (NuevaYork) with the presentation on Global Trends in the cocktail industry.
- Javier knight (Barcelona) with the presentation on Flavor Extraction Techniques, from classic to modern.
- Jose Joaquin Cortes (Madrid) with his conference on Molecular Pairing
- Antonio Lai (Hong Kong) with the treatise on Multisensory Mixology.
- Alba Huerta and Carina Soto (Houston / Paris) with his presentation on how to open an institution, Find your X factor.
Parallel to all the training and knowledge actions, the gastronomic field and avant-garde cuisine will come into play hand in hand with the joint presentations and workshops that will be developed by bartenders and chefs such as those developed by:
- Mario Sandoval, Manu Iturregi and Marco Calaza on Chromotherapy, the influence of the mind and colors on taste.
- Diego Cabrera & Paco Roncero who will offer their experiences and Pairing techniques with the culinary avant-garde.
Premiun brands seek their place in gastronomy: a matter of maturity, not age
Within the gourmet area, which has been enabled so that Premium drinks have their special content within the world of cocktails, different fusion actions will be carried out, to share an unimaginable sensory experience with visitors.
The Malta par excellence, The Glenrothes, will be present with two of the best international bartenders, Tristan Stephenson y Thomas Aske, throughout a tasting session, where we will learn everything about the maturation of cocktails in barrel that will be named “Tasting and trends: cocktails with barrel”
The Glenrothes has been a pioneer in Spain with its project Vintage Perfections Cocktails where wood, as an ingredient, is the differentiating factor of this single malt scotch whiskey in whose production process the barrels and the qualities of the different woods are selected that help the distillate to reach its optimum moment of maturation.
The other brand with special mention is No.3 London Dry Gin, which has again been chosen as the best gin in the world for the fourth consecutive year in the International Spirts Challenge.
Since the birth of the product, its green exterior expression has always sought perfection in its content, combining fruits and spices in its distillation process.
The recipe for No 3 London Dry Gin is owned by Berry Bros. & Rudd, a traditional wine and spirits shop in the city of London. That since 1698 jealously guards the secrets under lock and key, such as that of his engraving, of the excellent selective vaporization and condensation process.
Throughout the two work sessions of the event, more than 500 commercial brands distributed in almost 200 stands, will offer and present their novelties to the professional public that will visit the city of Madrid on those days.
The end of the party will be reserved for the Gala of the “Xtrends Awards”, Where the main actors, companies, and people, who have contributed the most to promoting the culture, diffusion and innovation of the spirits industry last year, will be announced and awarded.
