This mollusk is prepared mainly in the shell, which allows not only to preserve all the useful properties, but also to convey the subtleties of the rich taste palette of mussels. But don’t think that mussels are cooked in the sink only in restaurants. This delicacy is easy to make at home too.

Mussels marinated in their own shells are a simple and tasty dish that can be prepared in just twenty minutes.

To prepare this dish you will need: – a glass of dry white wine; – 0,5 kilograms of unpeeled mussels; – 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil; – 1 medium clove of garlic; – 1 teaspoon of mustard; – 1 teaspoon of honey; – 1 bay leaf; – 1 medium lemon; – dill, cilantro, black pepper, salt.

The first step is to prepare the sauce. To do this, boil the wine, add bay leaf, finely chopped garlic, pepper to it. After that, mussels are put into the wine for four minutes (the time is counted from the moment the wine boils).

The next step is to prepare the marinade. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon, add vegetable oil and finely chopped herbs, honey, mustard, salt and pepper to it.

Put the hot mussels in the marinade and refrigerate for five hours.

Mussels baked in their own shells are the perfect dish for a festive table. Perfect for a family dinner or a romantic evening.

To prepare this dish you will need: – 0,5 kilograms of unpeeled mussels; – 150 grams of hard cheese (parmesan is better); – 50 grams of butter; – 2 cloves of garlic; – 2 medium tomatoes.

The mussels must be thoroughly rinsed and the flaps cleaned. Then boil the clams in salted water for ten minutes.

You can eat only those shells, the flaps of which opened during cooking.

Allow the mussels to cool, then divide into halves, separate the flesh from the shell and put back. Beat the tomatoes, garlic and butter in a blender and put on the clam meat, sprinkle with grated cheese on top.

It is necessary to bake mussels at a temperature of 180 ° C for 20 minutes. Serve with cilantro, basil and lemon juice. White mustard or cream is perfect as a sauce.
