Multilac Baby is a supplement that supplements the diet of our youngest patients with valuable ingredients, i.e. newborns, infants and children. This preparation supplements the intestinal flora, weakened by the use of antibiotics, and strengthens the body, especially in the autumn and winter season. What ingredients does this preparation contain and how to use it correctly?

Multilac Baby – general characteristics of the supplement

Multilac Baby is a synbiotic, i.e. a combination of a probiotic and a prebiotic. By using synbiotics, we simultaneously accept a huge amount of beneficial bacteria into the body, and support their growth and development. Multilac Baby is a preparation dedicated to the youngest patients, i.e. newborns, infants and children. This preparation is available in pharmacies in the form of drops. Microencapsulation technology protects bacterial strains against the action of stomach acids and digestive enzymes. The bacteria included in the Multilac Baby preparation have been properly tested, therefore their intake is XNUMX% safe for children.

Multilac Baby – ingredients and their properties

As a synbiotic, Multilac Baby contains both bacterial strains and substances that are responsible for their development and growth. Multilac Baby drops contain Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) bacteria and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS). The bacterial strain of Lactobacillus rhamnosus is one of the best-tested, and thus the safest bacteria for children’s health. They are naturally occurring bacteria in the human intestinal microflora. They cause multidirectional, beneficial effects for the functioning of the child’s body. This bacterium was discovered in the 80s by two American researchers Sherwood Gorbach and Barry Goldin. The double G in the short name of this bacterial strain comes from the names of these scientists. The safety of this bacterial strain has been confirmed by the US Department of Health.

The rods of these bacteria show strong antagonistic properties against pathogens. It happens through the synthesis of numerous enzymes and bacteriocins, and the acidification of the intestinal contents. This means that the pH of the living environment is lowered to a value below 4,5 due to the production of lactic acid. These bacteria, as a component of Multilac Baby, prevent and relieve diarrhea associated with antibiotic therapy, shorten the duration of diarrhea and support immunity. The second important component of Multilac Baby synbiotic are fructooligosaccharides. They are a source of energy for live bacterial cultures, ensuring their constant growth. This compound also enables bacteria to adapt better in the intestines and to multiply them much faster. Additional ingredients of Multilac Baby are sunflower oil and glycerides of fatty acids esterified with citric acid.
