Wine lovers do not deny themselves the pleasure of having a glass of hot mulled wine in the cold season. After all, it helps to warm up and is even able to cheer up.
But even great connoisseurs of mulled wine do not always cook it at home. In order not to stand at the stove, a popular device will come to your aid, which today is in almost every kitchen – a slow cooker.
12 mulled wine recipes
Ingredients
Red dry wine – 750 ml
Orange – 1 pcs.
Cinnamon stick – 1 pc.
Almonds – 7 pcs.
Badyan – 2 stars
Carnation – 15 buds
Granulated sugar – 2 tbsp. l.
Dried ginger root – 1-2 small pieces
Cognac – 2-3 tbsp. l. (optional)
Small handful of raisins
Method of preparation
We turn on the multicooker on the “heating” mode and pour in a bottle of wine.
Then we cut the almonds in half and, together with all the spices, add it to the red wine.
We close the lid of the multicooker and continue to warm the drink in the same mode.
After 10 minutes, squeeze the juice from the orange, and cut the fruit into thin slices and throw it into mulled wine together with sugar. You can also add cognac at this stage.
Close the container again with a lid and heat for another 20 minutes.
After the specified time, turn off the multicooker and keep the drink for about 30 minutes under the lid.
Scandinavian mulled wine is ready, it remains only to pour it into glasses.
Red wine mulled wine with lemon
Ingredients
Dry red wine – 750 ml
Lemon – 2 pcs.
Granulated sugar – 200 g
Carnation – 2 pcs.
Ground nutmeg – 2 g
Ground cinnamon – 1,5 g
Method of preparation
Pour the wine into the multicooker bowl, and cut the lemons into slices.
We turn on the “steamer” or “multi-cooker” mode, add spices and prepare the drink for about 15 minutes at a temperature not exceeding 75 degrees.
Then turn off the multicooker, close the lid and insist for 15-20 minutes.
Ready mulled wine must be filtered and poured into suitable glasses.
Aromatic white wine mulled wine
Ingredients
Table white wine – 1 bottle
Honey – 50 g
Orange – 1 pcs.
Lemon – 1 pcs.
Cinnamon, vanilla, ginger – 2 g each
Cardamom – 5 pcs.
Cloves – 3 buds
Method of preparation
Fruit cut into thin slices.
Pour the wine into a slow cooker and add all the ingredients.
We turn on the “steamer” mode and warm the drink for about 15 minutes. Make sure that the temperature does not exceed 75 degrees.
After 15 minutes, cover the container with a lid and let it brew a little.
Then mulled wine must be filtered through a fine strainer and you can enjoy the taste and aroma of the finished drink.
Mulled wine in a slow cooker with fruit
Ingredients
Red wine – 750 ml
Apple – 1 pcs.
Orange – 1 pcs.
Cover – 2 g
Ginger – 2 g
Carnation – 3 pcs.
Granulated sugar – 100 g
Method of preparation
Wash the apple and orange and cut into medium-sized cubes.
Pour a bottle of prepared wine into the multicooker bowl, add all the spices and fruits.
In the “multi-cook” or “steamer” mode, we prepare a drink for about 15-20 minutes.
After the timer beeps, cover the multicooker with a lid for 15 minutes.
Before tasting, mulled wine with fruit can be filtered through a strainer or gauze.
Mulled wine with coffee and cognac in a slow cooker
Ingredients
Dry red wine – 750 ml
Brewed coffee – 350 ml
Cognac – 150 ml
Cover – 2 g
Cloves – 2 buds
Granulated sugar – 100 g
Method of preparation
To begin with, you must first brew coffee, we need 350 ml of the finished product.
In a multicooker bowl, mix red wine, good cognac, coffee, granulated sugar and spices.
On the “steamer” function, cook mulled wine for about 15 minutes.
Then turn off, cover with a lid and insist the drink for another 15-20 minutes.
Mulled wine with coffee and cognac is ready. We just have to prepare glasses for serving (just pour boiling water over them) and pour our drink.
