Mulled wine glass

A glass for mulled wine (irish glass, or irish coffee) is a cone-shaped or tulip-shaped glass, which consists of a short leg, a “skirt” and a handle. As a rule, an Irish glass is made of thick heat-resistant glass. The typical volume of a glass is 240-360 ml.

The popularity of the glass for mulled wine was brought by bartender Joe Sheridan in 1943, when he first mixed Irish whiskey with coffee. In addition to mulled wine and Irish coffee, almost all hot cocktails are also served in such a glass. Another glass of mulled wine can be used for classic coffee and tea. And although the glass can be called universal for most hot drinks, Irish coffee, grog, baileys coffee and mulled wine remain the most popular.
