Mr. Wildmeister liquor is the Russian answer to the German Jägermeister

Mr. Wildmeister (Mr. Wildmeister) is a Russian-made liqueur with a natural composition and a complex bouquet. The drink contains several dozen herbal ingredients that give the bitter herbal flavor. The trademark belongs to the company “Rodnik”.

history of the company

The plant of the joint-stock company “Rodnik” has not received wide popularity, although it annually presents its new products at the Prodexpo exhibition. The company is located in the village of Baryatino, Kaluga region, and from the first day of operation it has been specializing in the production of liqueurs. Since 2004, the company has brought to the market about thirty types of dessert alcoholic drinks, which are distinguished by their natural composition and low price.

Rodnik has relied on import substitution and produces liqueurs that taste and aroma resemble Amaretto, Limoncello and Baileys Irish Cream.

The place for the construction of the enterprise was not chosen by chance. The Kaluga region is famous for its purest water sources, which give drinks a mild taste due to their rich mineral composition. The basis of liqueurs and tinctures is high-quality alcohol “Lux” with a reduced content of harmful impurities.

The plant’s technologists develop original recipes in cooperation with specialists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Food Biotechnology of the Russian Agricultural Academy. Production is carried out in full compliance with state standards.

The composition of the liqueur Mr. wildmeister

Liquor “Mr. Wildmeister” was created as an analogue of the German Jägermeister. This is easy to guess by looking at the bottle. The designers have reworked the original design a lot and changed the colors, but the similarity remains obvious.

The inscriptions in German are designed to form the necessary associations with the consumer and motivate him to buy. Domestic drink is easy to distinguish from imported, because it is bottled in transparent, not dark bottles.

Label design, though different, but similar motifs are visible

Unlike the original, Wildmeister is not aged in barrels, and the composition of the bitter is simplified. The manufacturer uses 30 herbal ingredients, including:

  • wormwood and thyme;
  • leaves of apple and pear;
  • cloves and coriander;
  • lemongrass and cardamom;
  • chamomile and angelica;
  • juniper berries;
  • prunes and orange peel.

At the enterprise, the herbs are crushed and mixed in a certain proportion. Then the vegetable raw materials are macerated (infused) in a water-alcohol mixture, filtered and added to the blend. Additional flavor shades of the drink are given by a natural flavoring agent, also made from vegetable raw materials. The strength of the liquor is 35% vol., the sugar content is 14 g per 100 ml.

How and with what to drink Wildmeister liqueur

Herbal liqueurs stimulate digestion, so they are consumed after meals in small glasses with a volume of no more than 40 ml. In this case, the bitter should not be refrigerated so that the flavor of the herbs is revealed more fully.

Buyers note the pleasant maroon color of the drink, rich aroma and mild taste without alcohol harshness. Many people like the lack of a pronounced shade of licorice root in the bouquet, which in the minds of Russian consumers is strongly associated with cough medicine.

Ice stacks are the most popular way

“Wildmeister” can be drunk in exactly the same way as the German “Jägermeister”. The classic way is to put a bottle of liquor in the freezer for 2-3 hours, then cool the shots there – small vodka glasses with a capacity of 30-50 ml. A serving is drunk in one gulp for appetite before meals. Strong herbal liqueurs are eaten with citrus fruits, nuts and prunes, which smooth out the alcohol tones and leave a pleasant aftertaste.

Cocktails with Wildmeister

The manufacturer recommends using liquor in cocktails and advises mixing Mr. Wildmeister with energy drinks.

Recipe:

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour in 50 ml of liquor and 150 ml of Red Bull or Burn energy drink.
  3. Stir and garnish the cocktail with a slice of lemon.

Also, the taste of “Wildmeister” is well revealed in combination with pomegranate syrup and orange juice. It is enough to mix in a shaker 30 ml of Mr. Wildmeister and pomegranate syrup (grenadine) with 150 ml of orange juice. Pour the resulting cocktail into a glass filled with ice.
