In Poland, coffee is one of the four most popular products in the shopping basket. According to data from the research company Nielsen, from August 2011 to July 2012, we spent almost PLN 3,4 billion on it. Of the various types of coffee, the coffee beans are the most popular. This means that we are also increasingly investing in home coffee machines.
As noted by Karol Grygiel, member of the management board of Oferteo.pl, more than half of people using the website – 56 percent – declare their willingness to enjoy coffee beans. Every third user of the platform (35 percent) is looking for a coffee machine for home use, 9 percent. Internet users eagerly reach for convenient coffee machines for preparing coffee from capsules.
The investment in a home coffee machine is also a response to the VAT rate hike planned for the New Year on coffee and tea-based drinks in cafes – from 8 to 23 percent. If you drink at least one cup of coffee in the city every day, which currently costs about PLN 8-9, it will cost us around PLN 3 per year. zloty. This amount is enough to buy and maintain a good quality advanced coffee machine. The morning ritual of brewing aromatic coffee is also invaluable, as it not only provides a taste sensation, but also has health benefits.
