Morning coffee at home is the same health

Scientists report that moderate coffee consumption reduces the risk of developing heart failure by up to 11 percent. In Poland, statistically speaking, we drink nearly two cups of coffee a day, which we make in coffee machines more and more often – also at home.

Drinking four cups of coffee each day prevents the lesions that lead to heart failure. Active ingredients contained in coffee, incl. antioxidants have a beneficial effect in reducing the risk of diabetes. This, in turn, may explain the lower chance of developing heart failure.

In Poland, coffee is one of the four most popular products in the shopping basket. According to data from the research company Nielsen, from August 2011 to July 2012, we spent almost PLN 3,4 billion on it. Of the various types of coffee, the coffee beans are the most popular. This means that we are also increasingly investing in home coffee machines.

Every third user of the platform (35 percent) is looking for a coffee machine for home use, 9 percent. Internet users eagerly reach for convenient coffee machines for preparing coffee from capsules.

The investment in a home coffee machine is also a response to the VAT rate hike planned for the New Year on coffee and tea-based drinks in cafes – from 8 to 23 percent. If you drink at least one cup of coffee in the city every day, which currently costs about PLN 8-9, it will cost us around PLN 3 per year. zloty. This amount is enough to buy and maintain a good quality advanced coffee machine. The morning ritual of brewing aromatic coffee is also invaluable, as it not only provides a taste sensation, but also has health benefits.

It seems that Poles are following the footsteps of Italians, who exchanged their little black coffee, drunk in a hurry in a roadside cafe, for coffee at home. The result – deserted Italian eateries.
