In large supermarkets, you can buy anything from picnic items to house slippers for a long time. But even in small shops there are very interesting finds.
In specialized stores, everything is usually predictable: goods of the same brands, brands, prices are also about the same. But in smaller stores, even chain stores, you can find things of unusual brands, quite original ones, and the prices are sometimes pleasantly surprising: they have their own supply channels, other suppliers. We will tell you what to look for in addition to products in ordinary shops and supermarkets.
Crockery
Mugs, plates, salad bowls, thermo mugs, dishes, coasters for hot dishes, trays, jars, ice-cream bowls – what can you not find in supermarkets! Moreover, the design can be very original – you will not find this in a regular store. It is very convenient, especially when your favorite mug is broken at home or the dishes are chipped, you can easily replace the broken dishes with a new one, just by going for bread.

In addition, it is unlikely that it will be an expensive purchase – usually grocery stores have containers for cereals without claims to luxury and design, and therefore the price is low.
Kitchen towels and tablecloth
Paper napkins have replaced everything for us! But a cloth towel in the kitchen is a good form. Like the tablecloth, it seems that it is no longer fashionable to lay them, but it is practical. No scratches, chips, especially if there are small children at home. Adequate supermarket prices allow you to experiment and buy a couple of tablecloths to replace – and the type of kitchen can be changed literally every other day.
By the way, folk signs say that there must be a tablecloth on the table. Otherwise, well-being in the house is not worth waiting for.
Food Containers
Without them, it’s like no hands. And take with you to work, and send something unfinished to the refrigerator – plastic will come in handy everywhere. There are food containers in almost every store, and most often they are sold in sets of several pieces of different sizes. Considering that the service life of a container is a year and a half, it is very convenient to update them during the next grocery run.
Chopping boards and knives
Knives are not cheap. Still, they must be of high quality, proven companies. But if you do not have goals to buy Japanese ceramic or German knives and oak boards, then the supermarket’s assortment will do just fine. Usually the knives and boards are unassuming, but of pretty decent quality.
Socks, stockings, tights
They are sometimes needed urgently and at inopportune hours. For example, in the evening – tomorrow for work, and the last pantyhose just killed the cat. And where to run after them, if it is nine in the evening? To the convenience store, of course. In many of them you can find both tights and socks, and at a loyal price. Maybe the quality will not be the most amazing, but wearing it a couple of times is enough.
Hygiene products
If something runs out suddenly, like toothpaste or dishwashing detergent, the convenience store is a lifesaver. But urgency is not the only reason to look at the shelves of household chemicals and cosmetics in the supermarket. There are sometimes very curious brands: own brands of the chain, not promoted, but at the same time high-quality brands that cannot be found in a specialized store. And the cost is pleasantly surprising – a face toner, oil for the ends of the hair or a body cream without a brand markup seem to be just a gift.
Goods for children
Baby-friendly wipes, powders, oils and shampoos, hypoallergenic soaps, baby creams and washing powders – everything so that a young mother doesn’t have to go shopping in search of something that is suddenly over. The nice thing is that prices for goods for children are usually lower there than in other retail stores. And in some chain stores you can also find toys.
By the way, judging by the reviews of mothers, the diapers that some retail chains produce under their own trademark are much cheaper and, at the same time, of better quality than their publicized “colleagues”.
