Monural is a drug used in urology to treat acute cystitis and to prevent diseases of the urinary tract. The preparation is used in bacterial infections. Monural is available as granules and is available on prescription.

Indications for the use of the drug Monural
Dosage of the drug Monural
- In the treatment of acute uncomplicated bacterial cystitis and in the treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria: 1 sachet of 3g at a time. In infections of the bladder in bedridden or elderly patients, and in infections caused by recurrent or Pseudomonas spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus indole-positive, it is recommended to repeat the dose after 24 hours. Usually, symptoms of infection disappear 2-3 days after starting treatment.
- For the prevention of urinary tract infections associated with surgery and transurethral diagnostic procedures: 1 sachet of 3 g 3 hours before surgery, and then the dose (1 sachet of 3 g) should be repeated 24 hours after surgery.

Contraindications to the use of the drug Monural
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation, severe renal failure.
- Monural should not be used in people undergoing hemodialysis.
- It is not recommended to use the preparation for people over 75 years of age.
