MINI rice diet (rice only)
Boil a glass of rice and eat it during the day in small portions, washed down with freshly squeezed apple juice without sugar. If this amount of food for the day is not enough for you, you can add 2-3 more apples to the modest daily diet, preferably green ones.
The duration of the rice diet in this version is from one to three days. The one-day diet (rice fasting day) can be repeated once a week, the three-day diet – once a month.
Most dietitians choose the one-day option for their programs.
MAXI rice diet (rice with additives)
If you are very fond of rice and want to “sit on rice” a little longer, for example, a week, the option of the “rice with additives” diet is suitable for you.
In this case, boil 500 g of rice for a day. During boiling or after it is added to rice. The range of products depends on the recipe you choose. You can think of and prepare a huge number of such rice-based dishes. Therefore, it is not difficult to sustain a rice diet in a “lightweight” version.
But at the same time, several conditions must be observed:
- the total amount of all supplements should not exceed 200 grams per day;
- between main meals, you can eat up to half a kilogram of fruit. In a day, not in one go!
- drink only unsweetened freshly squeezed juices (best of all apple), tea without sugar, water – plain and non-carbonated mineral.
In this version, the rice diet lasts from 7 to 10 days, and it should be repeated no more than once every two months. As a result, you can lose up to three kilograms of excess weight in a week.
The best varieties of rice
For a rice diet, it is better to use brown rice: unlike white rice, it contains a sufficient amount of B vitamins.
Who is at risk?
Some people are advised to additionally take potassium supplements during the rice diet so that a deficiency of this vital element does not form in the body. And there are those for whom the rice diet is generally contraindicated. Mono diets, which include the rice diet, are not recommended for children, pregnant and lactating mothers, as well as people suffering from gastritis and peptic ulcer disease.
