Historical information

Family winery Enrico Serafino began producing sparkling wines in 1878, at the dawn of Asti. Italian champagne differs from French champagne in raw materials and manufacturing technology. In production, grape varieties “Moscato” are used, which are grown on the southern slopes of the Piedmont mountains. In a unique microclimate, the berries ripen for a long time and acquire the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness.

Sparkling wine Mondoro first appeared in 1989. A special manufacturing technology allows preserving the molecular structure of grape juice, so the drink is characterized by a fresh aroma and rich taste. Throughout its history, champagne has won a total of 34 awards at international competitions and has been named “the best Asti in the world” by Italian experts. In 2003, the company became part of Gruppo Campari.

The transnational company owns 16 factories for the production of alcoholic beverages, which are located in Europe, Mexico, Brazil, the USA and Australia. The corporation’s portfolio includes more than a hundred world-famous brands, including Campari, Cinzano, Glen Grant, Bulldog and Wild Turkey. The company owned TM Mondoro until 2015, and then entered into a sale agreement with the American holding Krause. Under the deal, Gruppo Campari continues to officially represent the brand on the international market.
