Julie Madrick believes that thanks to her creativity, children will grow up confident, kind and happy people. Time will tell whether it is true or not. In the meantime, the children of a creative mom are definitely not bored.
Imagine that you are a mother of five children. Have you presented? Startled? But Julie Madrick, who really has five children, finds time not only for household chores, but also for real magic.
For three years now, Julie has declared every October a month of masquerade. And these are not just words: she meets her son Luke every day from school at the bus stop, dressing up as some fairy-tale or fantastic character. This action is called “Suit for a bus stop”.
Julie’s fantasy is truly inexhaustible: every day she appears in a new guise. And Luke meets a Disney princess, a character from “Harry Potter” or “Star Wars”, then Spiderman. Or even … presidential candidate Donald Trump. Sometimes her eldest daughter Isabella and her youngest son, who is only four years old, join the mother.
As Mom herself told The Huffington Post, she hopes to teach her son to worry less about what other people will say or think about him. And, in her opinion, fantastic outfits do the trick:
– He has more fun, less worries about losses. And when he gets upset about something, he quickly pulls himself together again, – said Julie.
Moreover, Julie assures that she does not spend money on costumes – she takes something from friends or relatives, does some details herself – you just need to rummage well in the closet. Everything about everything takes her no more than half an hour. And with photos of what happened, with the hashtag #busstopcostumes.
“I want my children to grow up confident, kind and joyful people,” says Julie. – Life constantly gives us strength tests. The main thing is to be able to see something good too. Then all difficulties will be overwhelmed.
Julie plans to continue her performance until her youngest son graduates from elementary school. And he does not at all worry that ideas for incarnations will end:
