Moilec – action

Moilec is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Works generally. The active substance is a substance from the oxicam group – meloxicam. This group of drugs is known as NSAIDs. In addition to anti-inflammatory properties, it also has analgesic and antipyretic properties.

Meloxicam’s anti-inflammatory effect is based on the prevention of the synthesis of prostaglandins, a substance that supports the development of inflammation. It does not show antimicrobial activity and reduces the symptoms of inflammatory reactions.

These symptoms can include:

  1. increased body temperature,
  2. edema,
  3. joint pain and stiffness.

Moilec – indications

Due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, Moilec is used in the treatment of rheumatoid and degenerative joint diseases, as well as bone and joint pain.

It is also a drug that is used in the conditions of acute symptoms of diseases such as:

  1. juvenile rheumatoid arthritis,
  2. ankylosing spondylitis.

Moilec – contraindications

  1. gastric and duodenal ulcers (active or recurrent),
  2. the presence of stones or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract,
  3. after taking other drugs from the NSAID group,
  4. bleeding of the gastrointestinal tract, cerebral or other vessels,
  5. liver (including severe), kidney and heart failure,
  6. after dialysis.

Moilec – extreme caution

  1. the presence of arterial hypertension,
  2. heart failure
  3. ischemic heart disease,
  4. diseases of peripheral arteries or cerebral vessels,
  5. risk of heart or nervous system disease
  6. fluid retention with edema.

Moilec – side effects

Side effects can occur after overdosing Moilec or combining it with other medications with which it interacts.

Generally occur:

  1. indigestion,
  2. vomiting,
  3. stomach pain,
  4. diarrhea,
  5. constipation
  6. flatulence.

Occasionally patients report headaches.

Rarely side effects are:

  1. lethargy,
  2. dizziness,
  3. increase in pressure (including redness of the face),
  4. water retention in the body,
  5. increase in potassium levels
  6. gastrointestinal bleeding
  7. inflammation of the stomach or oral mucosa,
  8. allergic reactions (e.g. rash, itching).

Moliec interacts with drugs that contain:

  1. IBRUTYNIB,
  2. RAMUCYRUMAB,
  3. PEMETREKSED,
  4. TACROLIMUS,
  5. CLOFARABINE,

  8. DROSPIRENON.
