Modern style in the interior: how to create? Video
The interior in the Art Nouveau style is a whole set of elements that bring the appearance of the room closer to the classic to a greater extent. It is difficult to outline clear signs of this style, since they are different in each country, but it is quite possible to try to highlight the general directions in the style.
The choice of materials for finishing a room in a given style
Natural materials are welcome, therefore delights like modern plastic are unacceptable to this type of interior. Not even wallpaper is welcome, but fabric or paint. These materials look especially impressive in combination with decorative wooden structures, and here everything depends only on the imagination and preferences of the home owner. Both the arched design of the wall and the presence of a niche for the fireplace in it look equally original. Ornaments in design, having a rounded shape, are generally one of the hallmarks of an interior in this style, therefore it is almost impossible to overload it with them. Most often, drawings on a floral theme are used for decoration. The easiest way is to decorate the ceiling, since here the Art Nouveau style in the interior dictates the simplicity of lines and the classic white color, which can be diversified with the help of stucco or a monumental chandelier. For the design of the floor, wood is used, therefore parquet or parquet board will be the most optimal solution. Other materials may include stone and tiles, but with appropriate designs.
Ornament as an interior detail can be present not only when decorating walls, but also when choosing furniture and even appropriate textiles
The choice of modern furniture
Everything is quite simple here: natural materials coexist with smooth curves of forms, therefore the bed in the bedroom should have an appropriate back, and the chairs and armchairs for the living room should also look the same. But this does not mean at all that the bed should be monumental, slight bends can be even in structures that are weightless at first glance, which look no less stylish and original from this. But with the color scheme, there is no wide scope for a flight of imagination in this style. The dominant color base for both decor and furniture is dark wood shades that contrast with milky, sandy and white palettes.
The rest of the colors in the interior should be related to nature, the only exceptions are silver and gold, but there should be few of them.
Accessories and other decorative elements
The face of any room is curtains. The Art Nouveau style in the interior assumes that their shape will also be curved, because multi-layer lambrequins fit here just perfectly. As other decorative elements, any forged elements are well suited, be it a floor lamp on a corresponding leg or a flower stand. The rest of the vases, figurines, photo frames and other little things that are present in almost every home should be as close to nature as possible.
