• the manufacturer’s logo patch on the sleeve of a men’s jacket must be ripped off after purchase. Just like you remove paper labels and price tags;
• the jacket with a stand-up collar resembles a uniform from which the insignia has been torn off. It is difficult to imagine a place in which this “miracle” from the last century would be appropriate;
• your jacket has three buttons? In this case, it is not necessary to fasten the top. The lapels on some jackets are made to make the top button decorative;
• too long jacket. Surprisingly, with a normal sleeve length, you can find men’s jackets, the length of which reaches mid-thigh! However, they are not even close coats. The origin of such products is market and bazaar and this is very evident;
• a jacket sticking out from under a short jacket. This is best avoided, even if you fold the hem of the jacket up to hide it under the jacket. When moving and tilting, the jacket flaps will gradually slide down and show the disadvantages of such a “outfit”.

Shirt

• ubiquitous mistakes in men’s clothing: no need to wear a shirt with short sleeves and a tie and not look like characters from the TV series “The Office”, where all its characters are examples of bad taste and provinciality. Wear short sleeve shirts without a tie;
• shirts have sleeves without arrows – pay attention when you iron (iron). It is appreciated by others;
• if the shirt is deeply unbuttoned, then not everyone is pleased to look at the bare triangle of your torso. Leave that to the Dallas characters and zip up already;
• the cuffs of the shirt should slightly protrude from under the sleeves of the jacket by 1-2 cm.

Tie too long or too short. Most ties have a length of 150-160 cm and are designed for a man’s height of 170-190 cm. It is enough to be careful when choosing a tie, and also learn how to make at least one knot correctly. On the 2nd-3rd time it will become a habit and become “automatic”.

The tie should reach the buckle of your belt. It shouldn’t be shorter or longer than this.

Pants

• trousers “in an accordion”. This look is obtained if you buy tight enough trousers that are too tall and do not bother to give them to the atelier for fitting. How do men dare to buy it?
• short trousers. Men’s trousers should be long enough to cover the socks. Socks should not be visible, even if the man is sitting;
• trousers with pleats-tucks. Another anachronism, spoiling the impression of the figure, but still enjoying popular recognition. 2 and even 3 tucks – such trousers were in great demand in the 90s of the last century. Today it is a symbol of “lost in time”.

Jeans

Do white jeans remind you of the eighties? Or does their whiteness emphasize cleanliness? Be that as it may, leave your white jeans at the thrift store.

Tight-fitting jeans have recently become an attribute not only of women’s wardrobe. Some men are seriously thinking of keeping it for themselves for a long time. Keep in mind that girls may not like your overly sized rear end or overly thin legs. Better buy a pair of normal jeans.

Some will not calm down until they pull their pants up to their armpits. Others pull them down to knee level and show off underwear or lack thereof. For the latter, there is an interesting story.

In the past, in American prisons, lowered trousers were a special signal. The lower they were lowered, the more they expressed their readiness to enter into intimacy with one of the prisoners. The current guys are hardly trying to show how accessible they are, but it is unknown who they want to attract with this look.

Shorts, leg cuffs

Above the knee cargo shorts with an abundance of pockets look organically exclusively on men under the age of 12. For everyone who is older, cargo shorts will give the aura of an avid hiker. Never realizing that he had already left the forest, and he was surrounded by harsh people.

Footwear

• shoes are the item of a man’s wardrobe, which must be treated with special responsibility. It must be clean and unworn. Shoes and boots should ideally match other items of clothing: sneakers and loafers – for jeans, classic shoes – for a business suit;
• a successful man should not appear in the same pair of shoes at a formal and informal event;
• pointed shoes. These days they look like ethnic shoes, but people still wear them. Moreover, they not only wear out, but, possibly, acquire new copies somewhere;
• sandals with socks are not compatible. About 10-15 years ago, less attention was paid to this, but now this view will only bring you ridicule;
• rubber slates (slippers) are only appropriate for the beach or pool and for nothing else. Someone says that this is a matter of taste. If you have taste, you will only wear them to the beach or to the pool.

Oh, those socks …

Colored socks. This is an eternal topic, but you can still see this miracle. It is better for men to exclude “creativity” in the toe area. It is better to buy a lot of good black (not dark gray!) Copies, and for the summer – a few pairs to match the shoes or a little lighter.

Never wear socks with shorts or socks with sandals.

Headdress

Baseball caps are only worn on two occasions: during sporting events or while playing sports. Or when they make a beautiful ensemble with the rest of your clothing. Unfortunately, too many men wear baseball caps all over the place, forgetting about hats.

Accessories for men

• belt and suspenders are worn separately and not otherwise;
• belt and shoes of different colors. It seems to be a trifle, but still gives out a certain indifference to their appearance. For black boots, you should choose a black belt, for gray boots – gray;
• a belt case for a phone is not fashionable at all.

Ornamentation

• another mistake is when adult men wear several pieces of jewelry at the same time. A confident man chooses one piece of jewelry, not a diverse set of jewelry;
