Mission to be a leader

​​​​​​​Here is my story about the mission of the leader, made at the presentation of the Academy of Leaders.

The work of a leader is not just an independent profession, which can and should be learned over the years. A leader is a different type of personality, it is a completely different way of thinking, it is a new way of life, little known to ordinary people.

When they say, the leader is the one who organizes the process, ensures the achievement of the result, gathers people around him and motivates them … — they say the wrong thing. These things are true, but secondary and therefore empty. Here one hears that the leader is such an ordinary person who was simply given the task of organizing the process, asked to ensure the achievement of the result, suggested that people need to be gathered and motivated — well, this person went and did it. No, he won’t. An ordinary person will not do this, only one from whom a leader has already been born will do it.

The leader is a special person.

The leader is a person who comes out of the ranks of ordinary people and tells everyone: “I know what is right!”. A leader is not necessarily a leader, but he has a leadership position, the position of someone who builds people and life.

The leader is the person who delivers. He sees the goal, sees the goal always, gathers everything around to achieve this goal, loads everyone around to achieve this goal — and does not stop until the goal is achieved. Rate yourself on a 10 point system!

The leader is the solver of all problems in the world. A leader is needed when it is not clear what is right. Sometimes it’s just an expert who understands the issue better than others, sometimes it’s the one who selects the experts and claims that these experts are the most expert. It seems to some that this is such a responsibility — it’s terribly hard, but for a real leader — this is natural. Moreover, it’s just a joy: without you there was a mess and disorder, and you came — and everything worked. Wow!

The leader is a teacher, he is the one who turns misunderstanding people into adequate and responsible people, makes them real adults with a high culture. I’m afraid you haven’t heard or understood it yet. Look, no one is raising children in Russia now. The family does not know how and there is no time, the school has officially withdrawn from itself the work of education, teachers only teach, not educate. Adolescents left the school: they do not like to work and do not want to, it is difficult for them to organize themselves, they do not know how to negotiate, they walk with headphones on their ears and absent looks, the culture of speech is lost, the concept of decency is not honored. Would you trust them with something serious? Then there is a university, but there are no more teachers left in universities who made people and professionals out of students. And now these children are coming to us. They do not know how to work, but we need them to start working for us. And what to do? Are there still no others? That is, of course, there is someone whom the business has already brought up, but they are expensive and you can’t get enough of everyone. Therefore, dear leaders, if we need to make them responsible, constructive, able to work, able to cooperate with colleagues and loving our clients! — we must quickly, quickly make such people out of them.

The leader is the educator, he is the teacher. This is a mission, this is a vocation, this is a way of life — a way of life of a person who makes a lined production out of nothing, makes worthy people and makes worthy products. Makes life.

Learn to be a leader! As you learn, at the same time you will make a quite decent person out of yourself, and improve the life around you. If you are a quality leader, you not only have a good job — you have a good family as well. Yes, sure? You will have educated children, because you know how to educate people, especially since your children are your future employees. For yourself — will you try?

Leaders are special people, this is a special caste of people, but we know how to teach all this. Because we do not just teach, but here at the Academy we are the leader, we educate you as leaders.

And finally, I will give you an absolutely practical criterion by which you will distinguish a real, competent, hardened professional leader — from a leader in the process of formation. You can do everything in the world here exams, learn how to solve the most difficult cases for people, but you will not become a real pro yet. But when you yourself, personally educate at least three high-quality leaders, you become a pro. When you tell them everything and chew it up, when you answer all their questions, then you will figure it out yourself, check yourself and whether you are doing everything impeccably.
