The final stage of the regional selection for the Miss Russia 2015 contest took place last weekend. In our city it was conducted by the official partner of the competition – the MD Model management agency. Woman’s day found out how the qualifying stage went and met its participants.
The organizers received many online applications, but some of the girls did not fit in one way or another. To facilitate the selection procedure, we decided to see only 10 girls live. As a result, among the audience there were only those who had model criteria: age (from 16 to 23 years) and parameters (height from 173 cm).

The casting was conducted by Gulnaz Ibrayeva, a defile teacher, a foreign agent of the MD Model management agency. After the selection, she shared her expert opinion with Woman’s day:
“The well-known 90-60-90 is not quite the standard that is needed to win. A very important parameter is the girth of the hips. They should be commensurate with the height, if the girl is not very tall, then sometimes 90 cm in girth is a lot.
Those who are taller than 174 cm definitely have a chance to be invited to Moscow. The girls from our agency also showed themselves very well. They have experience in the modeling business, so they felt confident at the casting. These are Polina Tensina (No. 4) and Yulia Gilfanova (No. 14), I would also mention Ekaterina Malyshenko (No. 15), whom I saw for the first time at the casting. “
Next to the jury was a representative from the directorate of “Russian Radio”. In parallel with the work of the jury, she looked closely at those girls whom she would like to invite to the annual Miss Russian Radio contest. Here the requirements for the contestants are somewhat lower. For example, there is no fundamental requirement for height – from 175, girls with a height of 170 cm or more can participate.
