Galina Lukina, 23, recently returned from the World Bikini Model International 2015, which took place on the island of Malta. The beauty from Ufa became the second vice-miss among 2015 participants from different countries. In September, Galina took part in the equally prestigious competition “Miss Bikini CIS 40” and won it. How to become a beauty queen, the model told Woman’s Day.

1. If you become a participant in a beauty contest, be prepared for anything.
Because this is a competition and everyone wants to be first. At Russian beauty contests, girls are very cruel: they steal the dresses and cosmetics of the participants applying for prizes; spoil their hair, put needles in their shoes … At international contests, surprises are also inevitable, so you need to be on the alert and keep an eye on your belongings intended for fashion shows. For example, at the Miss Bikini World 2015 contest, a swimsuit was stolen from the winner of Anastasia Mikhailuta before going out. She had to urgently buy a new one. In general, beauty contests are always an invaluable experience and an unforgettable experience.
2. Instead of fitness, do regular exercises.
Since childhood, I have been engaged in dancing, and for 5 years I have been professionally ballet, largely thanks to this I now have a fit and slender figure. I still go to dances, but if I don’t have enough time, exercise always helps me out. I do it every morning, only 10 minutes, but it gives vigor and strength for the whole day. The exercises are the simplest ones, but they involve all muscle groups: bends, squats, push-ups. I used to love fitness very much, but as soon as I skipped a week or two of workouts, my hard-earned muscles and relief disappeared. Therefore, I decided not to waste time at the gym, but to exercise regularly at home.

3. Avoid coffee, soda and fast food.
I’m not one of those female models who exhaust themselves with strict diets. My breakfast is always hearty and consists of freshly cooked porridge, boiled egg and fruit. For lunch I have soup, and for dinner I have a second course. It can be mashed potatoes with a cutlet, the main thing is that the last meal should be at least 3 hours before bedtime. I also always have a lot of fresh vegetables in my diet.
4. Indulge in sweets.
Despite the fact that I often go on stage in a bikini, I do not deny myself tasty treats. The main thing is to know when to stop and not to overeat too much.
5. Take care of your skin and hair with natural remedies.
For example, every week I make clay masks for my face, and mustard masks for my hair. Of course, it cannot do without professional help – visits to a beautician and good care products, but still I prefer natural cosmetics.
