The idea was picked up by colleagues and today it is not only the slogan “I do not hate, I respect, because I save”, but also specific actions. It is the plasma of miners who recovered from the coronavirus and today they can help with their plasma for others who are suffering from the disease »- says Iwona Sołtys, spokeswoman for the Central Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw, who initiated the campaign

In Silesia, about 2,2 thousand miners are infected with the coronavirus. The vast majority have COVID-19 disease asymptomatically or with flu-like ailments. After sick leave, they can now help. Plasma collected from the convalescent can be used to treat others, especially in the third phase of the disease. The therapy uses antibodies that have been produced by the immune system in response to the infection.
