Microwave harm

When during the war Luftwaffe planes bombed Great Britain, the Germans could not understand for a long time how the British would know in advance about the time of the raid. As it turned out, they used radars.

These devices emitted waves that were reflected from enemy aircraft for many kilometers, and they became visible on the screen. It was then, as surprising as it may sound, that the history of microwave ovens began.

They work on the same principle: microwave rays are reflected from the products inside the oven, they are heated by the energy of waves that turn into heat. It is believed that no significant changes occur in the product itself, so that food from the microwave is not harmfulOn the contrary, studies have shown that up to 80% of vitamin C is retained in dishes prepared in this way, whereas with traditional cooking methods, a maximum of 50% remains.

accident prevention

There is no unequivocal opinion about the impact of modern microwave ovens on health. On the one hand, experts say that there is nothing to be afraid of, because all equipment is tested and certified, and the microwave body and special glass on its door are reliably protected from the harmful effects of microwave radiation – it must be additionally screened with a frequent metal mesh.

But, on the other hand, the quality of many devices raises doubts, as well as compliance with all standards during their production. And operators of radar machines, by the way, all as one lost their hair from the radiation of their devices, not to mention other, more dire consequences for health.
