Microfiber bedding, reviews
Choosing good bedding is not as easy as it might seem. Among the traditional natural sets, products made from artificial fibers appear. For example, microfiber. What are the features of this synthetic work? How to buy microfiber underwear that will not disappoint during use?
Pros and cons of microfiber items
Microfiber is a man-made material. It is composed of polyamide, polyester or cotton. Its peculiarity lies in the thickness of the filaments, which are composed of microfibers. Thanks to a special weaving technique, the density of the fabric is 1 g per 9 km.
In our country, microfiber cotton underwear is a rarity. It belongs to expensive high-end products. Most consumers are familiar with man-made lingerie. It has positive aspects:
excellent breathability – the material “breathes”;
hygroscopicity, allowing moisture to be absorbed and removed;
the ability to maintain color, shape and size: the material does not fade in the sun, does not fade, does not shrink, does not stretch, does not wrinkle;
antibacterial properties: mold, fungus, bed insects that cause various diseases are not formed under it;
affordable cost of finished bedding: they are cheaper than natural fabrics.
In addition to the merits, this material has its drawbacks. This is confirmed by consumer reviews of microfiber bedding:
it must not be heated, that is, ironed like ordinary linen, in order to prevent melting;
it is forbidden to wash in hot water and dry near batteries or heaters;
over time, fat accumulates in the material, which is practically not excreted;
short service life.
When making a choice of accessories, you should consider all the pros and cons of artificial materials.
How to choose microfiber bedding
When buying microfiber linen, it is important to know that some manufacturers allow the use of low-quality dyes (soiling the skin, having a toxic effect), and pass off low-grade fabrics for this material.
In order not to be mistaken with the choice of bedding made of microfiber, you should pay attention to the following:
registration of accompanying information placed on the package. The coordinates of the manufacturer, completeness, dimensions and composition of the goods must be indicated there;
unpleasant third-party odors that can be caused by the use of chemical compounds when coloring products;
after opening the package, slightly wrinkle the material. It should straighten up and leave no traces of compression;
it is advisable (if the seller permits) to run over the linen with a damp cloth and even with your hand. The mark left on the fingers indicates the use of low-quality dyes.
Microfiber underwear is a good alternative to natural fabrics on a modest budget.
