Micro-faces: why lips on the nose have become a new beauty trend

A funny make-up that united all beautygolics. And this is a must see!

Tired of not being able to use your favorite gloss or lipstick because of the mask? No problem! Recently, there has been a way to solve this problem and cheer yourself up. Challenge is gaining popularity in the network “Microface”, which can be found using the hashtag #tinyfacemakeupchallenge.

An unusual challenge appeared at an opportune moment. The pandemic forced everyone to wear masks and scarves that hide the entire lower half of the face, and makeup for many now seems to be a pointless exercise. But creative makeup artists found a way out of the situation: they painted a new face. Yes, it is noticeably smaller, but your favorite lipstick will not gather dust in the cosmetic bag, and all your loved ones will laugh heartily.

By the way, microfeatures have been drawing for several years, but in 2020 a new wave of popularity was presented to them by makeup artist Jamie French. Her six-minute video transformation has received over a million views. Almost 200 thousand subscribers follow Jamie’s work on Instagram, so everyone who is bored in quarantine cheerfully picked up the idea and showed their version of the micro-faces.

“This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. You are queen!” – fans write on the makeup artist’s Instagram.

It’s really impossible to look at such works without a smile, so if you love makeup and want to have some fun, this challenge is for you.

How to draw a “microface”

Everyone can repeat the trend. For this:

  • put on a mask (or pull a turtleneck over the lower part of your face);

  • draw another small nose on the bridge of the nose so that the tip of your nose turns into the upper lip;

  • place the lower lip directly under the nose.

Now all that remains is to paint up your “microface” and share the bright makeup on social networks.

By the way, both women and men experiment with their appearance. For example, one Italian makeup artist did not paint his lips brightly on his micro face, but he painted a thick beard. It looks very funny.

Now on the hashtag #tinyfacemakeupchallenge you can find more than a thousand publications, and it seems that this is not the limit. Let’s see how far the imagination of quarantined netizens goes.
