Questions inevitably arise before us: how to reach the dermis without destroying the epidermis and basement membrane? Or act only on the superficial layers of the skin, while maintaining the integrity of the barrier? Phospholipids – substances that play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the stratum corneum. They are able to influence the permeability of the skin, regulate the cell cycle of corneocytes – special flat scales that form the stratum corneum of the skin.
