Mexican Fiesta (Mexican Fiesta)

Mexican holidays are a riot of colors and emotions. During the day, the sun beats mercilessly, so songs and dances begin in the late afternoon, but they can last all night long. But what is fun without tequila? But for a fiesta, you need a special drink: not too expensive, with a mild, pleasant taste that does not leave consequences in the form of a morning hangover. It is this tequila that was created by the master tequileros at the AgroIndustria Guadalajara distillery.

Each year, the Chicago-based International Wine and Spirits Institute awards awards to the best brands of spirits. In 2004, the then little-known tequila Fiesta Mexicana took third place. 500 brands of tequila participated in the competition, and the “debutante” lost only to two recognized “giants”: Olmeca and Pepe Lopez.

Fiesta Mexicana tequila is produced at the distillery AgroIndustria Guadalajara, located in the city of Capilla de Guadalupe, in the state of Jalisco. This distillery was built in 1994 and is equipped with the most modern equipment.

For the manufacture of tequila here they use agave grown in the Los Altos Valley. The tequilero masters had a difficult task: to create an inexpensive, but high-quality tequila with a taste so mild and devoid of bitterness that it could be drunk without snacking.

The reduction in the cost of the drink was achieved through the use of new technologies that make it possible to obtain more juice and speed up the process of its fermentation. Fiesta Mexicana is double distilled.

At first, this tequila was planned to be produced only for the domestic market. But since 2006, after success at a prestigious international competition, it has been exported to the USA and Europe.

Types of tequila Fiesta Mexicana

AgroIndustria Guadalajara distillery produces two types of Fiesta Mexicana tequila:

  • Fiesta Mexicana Silver is a young colorless ordinary tequila with a pleasant agave-citrus smell and mild taste, in which the sweetness of agave is successfully set off by a subtle pepper bitterness;
  • Fiesta Mexicana Gold – Silver tequila mixed with a small amount (up to 1%) of cane sugar syrup. The pale golden drink is fragrant with lemon and avocado, the taste is sweetish caramel, almost no bitterness is felt. It is considered a lady’s drink that can be drunk even without lime and salt.

Both varieties are suitable for cocktails. Mexican bartenders usually recommend this tequila to beginners.
