Menu for children from 1 to 2 years old: food, rules, recipes, for a week
The menu for children from 1 to 2 years old should include not such puree-like dishes as in babies. But they still cannot eat from the common table. All food should be healthy, nutritious, and easy to chew.
Nutrition for children under 2 years old and cooking rules
Up to one and a half years, children are fed 5 times a day, and then the child is fed 4 times a day. Food should be soft and easy to chew. It does not need to be crushed with a blender; it is enough to knead it with a fork.
Cooking methods: stewed, boiled, baked, steamed. Meat can only be added to all dishes in the form of minced meat. The child should not be given fried foods, any sausages, spicy foods, canned food and soda.
This is a selection of different meals for 7 days. In order for the child’s food to be varied every day, it is necessary, if desired, to choose one of the dishes in a bulleted list. For example, make an omelet with vegetables, compote and bread and butter for breakfast.
Breakfast:
- Manna-apple pudding, omelet with vegetables, cottage cheese casserole, rice porridge, semolina, buckwheat with vegetables, oatmeal with fruit.
- Milk, cocoa, compote, yogurt, juice, milk tea.
- Bread with butter or cheese.
Lunch:
- Salads from various vegetables and fruits.
- Milk noodle soup, borscht, cabbage soup, meatball soup, chicken puree soup, chicken noodle soup, pickle.
- Steamed cutlets, stewed fish, potato zrazy with minced meat, meatballs with gravy, stewed rabbit, chopped turkey goulash, chicken meatballs.
- For a side dish: boiled: buckwheat, rice, pasta, mashed potatoes, stewed vegetables, fresh vegetables grated on a coarse grater.
- Dried fruit compote, tea, juice, cocoa, jelly.
- Bread.
Snack:
- Cookies, fruit purees, buns, pies, vegetable and fruit salad, peaches, berries with milk.
- Yogurt, bifilin, fermented baked milk, milk.
Dinner:
- Vegetable casserole, baked omelet, boiled eggs, cottage cheese with sour cream, vegetable salad, children’s pasta, cottage cheese with fruit.
- Kefir.
- Bread.
For the preparation of children’s soups, raw products are used. Pass nothing. This menu is designed for healthy children. If a child has allergies or chronic diseases, then the doctor should be consulted about the menu.
Some recipes for children’s meals
For children under 2 years old, easy-to-prepare, but hearty dishes are suitable:
- Steamed omelet. Whisk 1 egg and 50 ml of milk. Salt as desired. Cook in a double boiler for 15 minutes.
- Cottage cheese casserole. Mix: 125 gr. cottage cheese, 1 tbsp. l. semolina, 1 egg, 50 ml of milk, 2 tsp. Sahara. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes at 200 ° C.
It is advisable to cook for the child just before eating. Then the food will be fresh and tasty. And the volume of cooked food should be enough for no more than 1-2 meals. Do not cook for a child for several days in advance.
