Menu for a child at 1 year and a month: approximate nutrition, diet for a week
In a one-year-old child, the diet gradually expands and slowly approaches that of an adult. You can introduce him to new vegetables and fruits, still finely chopping the products. When the baby is ready, the chopping ratio can be reduced.
During this period, it is also worth adhering to gentle methods of processing food – cooking, stewing, steaming. Vegetable oil should be present in vegetable or meat purees, but it is better not to use fried foods – the baby’s digestive system is still weak.
Porridge remains one of the main components of food. It is good to give them for breakfast, as a large amount of carbohydrates will energize your baby. In the first year of his life, he already got acquainted with buckwheat, oatmeal and rice, now you can add wheat and corn grits. You can gradually accustom your child to a well-boiled porridge, not mashed in mashed potatoes.
You can’t do without fermented milk products – they saturate the body with calcium, sodium, protein, help maintain normal digestion processes.
The daily rate includes 200 ml of kefir or yogurt. It is useful to add cottage cheese daily to the diet, but not more than 70 g. It is important that they do not contain artificial additives – dyes and flavors.
You can also continue breastfeeding or with adapted formulas appropriate for the baby’s age. They should occur in the morning after waking up and in the evening before bedtime.
Vegetables and meat are good for lunch. A great option is vegetable soup. For cooking, you can use zucchini, pumpkin, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes. Boil beets and cabbage well to avoid intestinal upsets – they contain a lot of fiber.
It is healthier to steam broccoli and cauliflower. You can also add green beans to them. Sometimes you can diversify vegetable soups and mashed potatoes with a small amount of peas and corn.
It is best to think over the menu a week in advance. Meat is cooked not only in soups, but also as a second course – it is served in the form of mashed potatoes, and as the child grows, meatballs, meatballs, steamed cutlets are prepared. They use everything except overly fat varieties – duck and goose.
White bread is added to the allowed products – it can be eaten no more than 100 g per day.
It is not advisable to use salt and sugar for cooking. Condiments, sauces and spices are not used for children at such a tender age.
