Megapar is a medicine in the form of effervescent tablets, in which paracetamol has been used as the active substance. It has an analgesic and antipyretic effect. It is indicated for the treatment of pain of various origins and of moderate intensity.

Indications

The active substance in Megapar is paracetamol, which belongs to a group of medicines that relieve pain and fever. The drug is indicated for the treatment of pain of various origins of moderate severity, for example: headache, including migraine and tension pain, toothache, neuralgia, back pain, rheumatic and muscular pain, menstrual pain, sore throat, as well as fever and cold or flu pain.

The drug has a particularly favorable reputation for its speed of fighting pain and fever. Thanks to the soluble, effervescent form, the product is absorbed faster, which translates into its faster action.

Composition

One tablet of Megapar contains 500 mg of paracetamol and excipients such as: citric acid anhydrous, sorbitol, sodium carbonate anhydrous, sodium bicarbonate, povidone K25, simethicone, sodium saccharin, macrogol 6000, lemon flavor: powderarome lemon premium (aromatic preparations, aromatic substances, natural aromatics, corn maltodextrin, gum arabic, alpha-tocopherol, water). There are packages of 10, 20 and 24 effervescent tablets on the market. Megapar is also available in a stronger version: Megapar Forte, containing 1000 mg of paracetamol.

Dosage

The form of an effervescent tablet with a delicate lemon flavor facilitates the absorption of the active substance of the drug, thus accelerating its action. According to the instructions on the leaflet, dissolve one Megaparu tablet in a glass of water and drink it immediately. The drug can be taken with or without food. Regarding the recommended doses, for adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age (body weight from 41 kg to 50 kg): one effervescent tablet may be repeated every 4-6 hours. However, a daily dose of 4 500 mg effervescent tablets (2 g of paracetamol) must not be exceeded. The recommended dose for adolescents from 16 to 18 years of age (body weight over 50 kg), as well as adults, is one or two effervescent tablets. Likewise, the dose may be repeated every 4-6 hours. The daily maximum dose is 6 effervescent tablets at a dose of 500 mg (8 effervescent tablets in case of severe pain). The drug should not be used for more than 3 days (in case of fever) or 3 days (in case of pain) without medical consultation. If symptoms persist after this time, you should see your doctor.

Contraindications

The drug should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal product, severe renal or hepatic insufficiency and in patients with alcoholism.
