MegaFon will speed up mobile Internet during the Unified State Examination

Cellular operator MegaFon will increase the speed of mobile Internet for schoolchildren and students throughout the Federation for the entire duration of the unified state exams (USE), i.e. starting May 26th.

The company has previously provided its services to schoolchildren and students on preferential terms – a 20% discount on any tariff they like from the line #Without Overpayments. Now these subscribers will have access to a free option for the next month pre-5G, which allows you to “overclock” the data transfer rate up to 50%.

Recall that MegaFon has shown excellent performance before. According to measurements in a special application SpeedTest from the company Okla, in terms of average download speed, the operator is confidently ahead of its closest competitors. Now with pre-5G Finding the right information and training materials will become even faster, and therefore more convenient. This is especially true for regions where wired Internet is not so widely developed, so it has to be replaced with a mobile one. Among these, Dagestan can be noted, which ranks second in terms of the number of users visiting educational sites. In the first place, as expected, is Moscow and the Moscow region. Also, the list of leaders in mobile traffic includes: Samara region, Chechnya, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar region, Volgograd region and Ingushetia.

It is not surprising that at the end of the academic year, the interest of users in educational resources, primarily focused on preparing for exams, increases significantly. For example, in March 2022 (the start of early USE), the traffic of popular sites in this niche significantly exceeded last year’s September figures (by 102%). This trend continued in April and May.

Thus, the decision taken by MegaFon will allow schoolchildren and students to focus on really important things, namely on the educational process itself.
