Meditation and visualization are closely related concepts, and they are often confused. They say they «did a meditation», although it was more of a visualization.
If our task was to remove thoughts, dissolve the Self, achieve complete peace and relaxation — this is more like meditation. At the same time, elements of visualization could be present in this: the idea of a high blue sky, a boundless ocean or a quiet clearing in a green forest could contribute to general relaxation.
If the task was to prepare yourself for an important meeting, to get confidence that the meeting will go as it should, according to our presented scenario, this is more of a visualization. At the same time, elements of meditation could be present in this — attention to even, calm breathing, relaxation of the body usually contributes to a clearer and more vivid representation.
Visualization, using inner peace, leads to life and affairs. Meditation, erasing vanity and business, leads to peace and relaxation.
