Łukasz Jankowski, president of the District Medical Council in Warsaw, was a guest at “Onet Rano.”. Tomasz Sekielski, the program leader, asked him what he thought about the idea of the Medical Council at the Prime Minister to introduce compulsory vaccinations against coronavirus for certain professional groups, including among the medical staff.

At the beginning, it was talked about 60 percent. The Alpha variant came and it was said about 70 percent. With the Delta variant, which is insanely contagious, it is already said to be 90 percent. – emphasized Łukasz Jankowski.
– In order to eliminate this coronavirus from our environment, cocoon those people who, for some reasons, e.g. medical reasons, cannot get vaccinated – added Jankowski.

– For me, the whole story with vaccinations reminds me of the situation when I talk to patients, when all the weather forecasts say that it will rain tomorrow and we say “please take an umbrella” and the person says “well, maybe it won’t rain”. And today it is the same: maybe there will not be a fourth wave, because now there are very few infections, there is no coronavirus. We predict that the fourth wave may be. If it can rain, it is rational for us to take an umbrella. If it can be enough to the fourth wave and we can somehow protect ourselves and others, let’s take this umbrella and get vaccinated – said the president of the District Medical Council in Warsaw.
