Meat fingers. Video

Small meat rolls with various fillings are called fingers. The latter can be mushrooms, bacon or vegetables. Cooking this tasty, original and hearty dish does not take much time, which is why it can not only be placed on the festive table, but also prepared for dinner for the whole family.

The classic finger recipe

Ingredients: – 800 g of meat; – 150 g of fresh or salted lard; – 4 cloves of garlic; – ½ bunch of parsley; – 2 cups of boiling water; – 1 bay leaf; – black pepper and salt to taste.

You can use pork, beef and veal to prepare this dish. To make your fingers juicier, it is better to choose fresh meat with a little fat.

Wash the meat, dry and cut into small layers 1 cm thick. Beat each piece well on both sides, rub with salt and black pepper. Chop lard and herbs, and pass the garlic through a press. Mix them together.

Spread the pieces of meat on a board and place a small amount of lard, garlic and herbs filling on top of them. Roll the pieces into a roll and wrap with plain thread of a contrasting color. Fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Place the fried fingers in a thick-walled saucepan and cover with hot water. Add some salt and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook, covered, for 20 minutes, until the meat is tender. Free the prepared meat fingers from the threads and serve with tender mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.

You can prepare white sauce for your fingers. To do this, melt 50 g of butter in a pan, add 1 tbsp. a spoonful of flour and fry everything for a minute. Put 3 tbsp there. tablespoons of sour cream and 150 ml of cold milk. Boil for 2 minutes and serve with a dish.

You can also stuff your fingers with mushrooms and onions. To do this, finely chop the onion and mushrooms. Fry the onion in a little vegetable oil. Then add mushrooms to it and simmer until all the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cool to room temperature and wrap the mushroom filling in the meat.

Fill with carrots, mint, and basil. Peel and grate the carrots, chop the onions. Fry everything in olive oil. Add chopped fresh mata, basil and some white pepper powder. Mix everything and salt to taste. Cool and wrap the filling in the meat. Such a spicy filling will make the dish not only tasty, but also aromatic.

You can also get original and tasty fingers with cheese and herbs. To do this, grate any not too hard cheese and mix it with chopped herbs. For the latter, you can use parsley, dill, cilantro, or green onions.
