It happens – even the most adored things lose their luster over time. But this is not a reason to throw them away! There are simple ways to bring them back to their youth. And you don’t even have to spend money on expensive household chemicals and special tools.
1. Mayonnaise – for wood and from stickers
Due to temperature changes, condensation often forms on different surfaces. And all would be fine, but on the tree it leaves nasty white spots. You can remove them with mayonnaise. Simply apply to the stain and scrub well with a soft cloth. Mayonnaise can also “cure” a cracked tree. Fill the crack with sauce and leave for a few days. And then polish the surface with a soft cloth.
And that’s not all the tricks that mayonnaise is capable of. He also does an excellent job with stickers and stickers, if suddenly the child glued something to the refrigerator or tile in the kitchen. We apply mayonnaise, leave it for half an hour – and the sticker along with the glue can be easily removed with a regular cloth.
2. Toothpaste – for glasses
Glasses, a glass of a watch, an alarm clock can be polished to a shine with toothpaste. The main thing is that it should be free of abrasives, otherwise the granules will only scratch the glass. Just clean the glass with a soft cloth and a little paste. Wash off the remains with water or a damp cotton pad – it is better not to expose the watch under running water.
Also, toothpaste does a great job of fogging mirrors – apply a little on the bathroom mirror, then wipe it off with a cloth. And even after a very hot shower, you will be able to look at yourself and not at the fog.
3. Mustard – for copper
Using regular mustard, you can restore shine to copper products. Candlesticks, doorknobs, and other fittings will shine like new. It is enough just to grease the thing with mustard and leave for a few minutes. Then we clean and polish the item with a damp cloth.
4. Baby powder – for phones
Powder removes scratches on the screen. Make a paste from the powder and water, apply it to the smartphone screen and rub with a rag. Then remove the rest of the mixture. Small cracks should disappear.
5. Nail polish – from cracks on glass
First, rinse thoroughly what you are going to glue. Then take some clear nail polish and apply it to the crack. Wait about an hour, then dip a cotton swab in nail polish remover and wipe off the scratch.
6. Bow – for leather goods
Cut the onion in half and rub the soiled bag, shoes, or clothing. Then wipe again with a soft cloth. The leather product will shine like new again,
7. Hairspray – for stains
Have you planted a stain of mascara, eye shadow or other cosmetics on your clothes? Spray the spot with hairspray, dry with a tissue, and wash as usual. Hairspray is also an irreplaceable remedy for removing nail polish stains. Apply it to your toothbrush and wipe the dirty surface.
8. Baby shampoo – for glasses
You can use baby shampoo to remove small scratches from your glasses. Pour some shampoo on the lenses and rub it in. Remove the residue with a napkin and your glasses will look as good as new.
9. Ash – for wood
Another means of saving furniture is ash. Not a cigarette, no. Just burn a piece of paper. The ashes must be mixed with water until they are mushy and the damaged area must be covered with this mixture. Then gently polish the surface with a cloth.
10. Butter – from oil paint
Mix oil and detergent in a 1: 1 ratio to remove oil paint stains. Apply the mixture to the stain and rub in gently with a toothbrush. Wait 10 to 20 minutes and then wash as usual.
11. Chalk – for clothes
Regular chalk will help you get rid of greasy stains easily. Rub the chalk into a powder and sprinkle it over the contaminated area. It can be peeled off after the chalk has absorbed the grease and then washed as usual.
