Mayo Clinic diet: video reviews
Among the methods of losing weight that are gaining popularity in recent years, the so-called Mayo Clinic diet, which is based on the use of the so-called fat-burning soup, is especially popular. But if you take a closer look at the diet, you can see that this is by no means a novelty, but a system that has already been tested over the years.
Mayo Clinic Diet Principles
The clinic itself, which rumor prescribes the authorship of the diet, is located in the United States and really specializes in losing weight through a healthy diet, but there is no reliable information that the menu consists of only one soup. Diets of the same name, present in various media, recommend eating a soup called Bonn. It is simply impossible not to lose weight on such a diet at the Mayo Clinic, since the soup normalizes metabolism and helps the body cleanse itself of toxins and toxins from the inside. This is due to the fiber present in vegetables, and due to the absence of salt in the menu, not only toxins go away, but also excess fluid. Each meal you need to eat not only a cup of soup, but also half a grapefruit, which further stimulates fat burning, while simultaneously supplying the glucose necessary for normal brain function.
The theory that this soup has no calories is very doubtful, but the fact that their amount in it is minimal is indeed true.
This soup is prepared very easily, for two liters of water you need to take:
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 2 carrots
- 3 heads of onions
- 300 g cabbage
- 3-4 stalks of leafy celery
- a bunch of parsley and dill
This amount of soup is more than enough for nutrition during the day, vegetables must be cooked until cooked in water over low heat without adding salt and oil.
It is advisable to cook a new portion of the soup every day, since with prolonged storage and numerous reheating, vegetables lose their vitamins.
Effectiveness and results
For a week spent on such a diet, you can lose weight by 5-7 kg, but it still has drawbacks. First of all, this is a poor nutritional composition, since vegetables alone are not able to cover all the necessary needs of the body. Moreover, with such a food system, there are completely no products that are a source of proteins, and it is believed that with a lack of them, weight loss is achieved primarily due to the breakdown of muscle mass, and not fat deposits. Therefore, you should not adhere to such a diet for a long time. Also, reviews note that, despite the rather large portions of the soup, it does not give saturation and the feeling of hunger arises quite quickly, therefore it is difficult to call a diet comfortable in terms of sensations.
If you do not like this method of losing weight, then you can always try a sweet diet. Only will there be a result?
