A 10-year-old artist from Rostov sang in the episode of the show “Best of All”.
Xenia came up with the idea to try her hand at the project. At her request, my mother recorded a video of the performance and sent it to the editorial office of “Best of all”. And three days later they called and invited me to shoot. No casting – as an exception!
– Ksenia has been studying in an ordinary music school in the class of academic vocal since she was 7 years old, – shares Oksana, the mother of the young artist. – When I gave my daughter there, I just wanted her to take notes correctly and cleanly, and then let at least rock sing there. But since childhood, Ksenia loves the classics: she likes musical cartoons, she goes to the theater with pleasure. The teacher discovered such a talent in her and developed it. Every year the results are getting better, and over time, such an adult voice woke up in Ksenia. We have already taken part in international competitions, took 1st and 2nd places, but all this was in our hometown.
When I told my daughter that we were going to Moscow, Ksenia was shocked. She immediately drew the symbolism “Best of all” – a crown – and left there a place for Maksim Galkin’s autograph. In this place, the presenter signed, and we hung this drawing of the house in a place of honor.
In Moscow, during two days of rehearsals, Ksenia was getting used to the studio, the director asked her approximate questions from the presenter, since Maxim does not come to rehearsals to catch the child’s first reaction from communicating with him on the set. Channel One also gave us a gift: before filming, Ksyusha studied for two days with an international-class specialist, Professor of Gnesinka in St. Petersburg. By the way, he graduated from our Rostov Conservatory. The teacher praised his daughter, gave her a book with his autograph and said that they would definitely be waiting for her at this educational institution.
On the set, Ksenia, a brave character, was very worried. But Galkin is a professional in dealing with children.
– Maxim gave me his hand, talked to me behind the scenes, did not leave me alone on the stage and constantly joked. When my uncle came out on stage to tune the microphone, Galkin said that it was my first fan who came running – it was very funny, and I relaxed. The presenter also said that for the first time next to me he felt comfortable in a tuxedo on the couch.
When I began to sing and suddenly saw that my idol Khibla Gerzmava was standing next to me, I had a real shock – I was on stage next to such a star! She hugged me, kissed me and told me to never leave vocals.
Backstage we took pictures with Maxim Galkin, and I gave him a small magnet in the form of a fish, which depicts our Tachanka, and signed it: “To Maxim Galkin from Mosina Ksenia.”
After the broadcast, my friends write to me, they say that they are happy for me. But I don’t feel like a star, I want to move on. Now I am preparing for an academic vocal competition in St. Petersburg, I want to win. And I hope that before the New Year I will be invited again to the holiday shooting “Best of all” together with other children. Over time, I want to enter Gnesinka.
