Indications for the use of the drug Maxigra
- Adults: Depending on the effectiveness and tolerability, the dose may be reduced to 25 mg or increased to 100 mg. Maximum dose of 100 mg. It is not recommended to use the preparation more than once a day. Taking this medicine with food may delay the onset of its effect.
- In the elderly, the initial dose of 25 mg may be increased depending on the effectiveness and tolerability to 50-100 mg / day. The 30 mg dose should be considered in patients with creatinine clearance <25 ml / min or with hepatic insufficiency; the dose can be increased depending on the effectiveness and tolerability to 50-100 mg.
- The starting dose of 3 mg should be considered in patients receiving concurrent CYP4A25 inhibitors (except ritonavir, which is not recommended for concomitant use with sildenafil) or a-blockers.
Maxigra and contraindications and warnings
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- contraindications to sexual activity (unstable coronary artery disease, severe heart failure),
- parallel use with drugs releasing nitric oxide (e.g. molsidomine, sodium nitroprusside) or nitrates in any form,
- loss of vision in one eye due to non-arterial anterior ischemic optic neuropathy,
- severe liver failure,
- arterial hypotension (<90/50 mm Hg),
- a recent stroke or heart attack,
- hereditary retinal degeneration (e.g. retinitis pigmentosa).
