Vodka “Matryoshkina” (as the drink was called until 2001) first appears in Duty Free networks in 1998.

In 2001, Matrioshka became the first Russian vodka partner in the annual World Bartending Championship, which is attended by 52 countries in Europe, Asia and America. And since that time it has been included in the composition of the author’s recipes of bartenders participating in the World Cocktail Competition.

In 2002, the drink was celebrated in Paris – by the decision of the SIAL PARIS jury for quality and design, it was included in the catalog of innovations.

In 2004, Matryoshka became a nominee for the SIAL d’Or competition and was awarded the title of Authentic Russian Vodka as a brand that is true to national traditions.

About the manufacturer

The KiN group of companies is the largest producer and distributor of alcohol in Russia, the main enterprise of which is the Moscow Wine and Cognac Factory founded in 1940. In the pre-war years, the plant produced only sweet sparkling waters, fruit drinks and kvass. And with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, he began to produce mash, closing the line of carbonated water forever.

After the war, MVKZ began to produce alcohol infusions from fruits, berries and citrus fruits, and for many years it was the only producer of them in the USSR.

The enterprise was reconstructed and modernized in the 90s. At the same time, a distribution and logistics company was created under him.

In 1997, KiN imported French cognac spirits to Russia for the first time, and drinks created using Cognac technology appeared in its assortment.

In 2009, MVKZ produced 10 decaliters of the name brandy “Kinovsky” and the company became the leader in terms of production of the noble drink in Russia.

Today, in addition to vodkas and cognacs, the factory produces tinctures and whiskeys from Scottish spirits.

Types of vodka “Matryoshka”

Matryoshka Suite (40%). A classic drink, in the recipe of which an infusion of corn grits is used, thanks to which the taste has acquired a velvety unusual for vodkas. The aroma is subtle, vodka. Served chilled. It goes well with vegetable and meat snacks, with dishes of European and Russian cuisine. Among the awards are ProdExpo gold in Moscow and the gold award of the wine and vodka festival in Sochi.

Matryoshka Honey (40%). Vodka, in the recipe of which there are alcohol tinctures of May honey and lime blossom, which explains the delicate honey aroma and sweetish taste of the drink. Fabio Bacci, the winner of the world bartending competition, spoke with admiration about this vodka, who noted the refined taste and suggested serving this vodka in restaurants as an aperitif – with fresh cucumbers sprinkled with pepper and Gorgonzola cheese. Traditionally, vodka is served chilled, it goes especially well with spicy vegetable snacks and meat dishes of European cuisine.

Matryoshka Cranberry (40%). A drink in which, in addition to luxury alcohol and purified water, cranberry berry extract and clove alcohol tincture are used. The aroma is light, berry. The taste is spicy, invigorating and slightly tart. Served with vegetable and meat snacks, dishes of Russian and European cuisine.
