Masks L’Oréal Paris “Magic Clay”

Clay is an indispensable cosmetic ingredient. This natural substance fights excess shine, controls sebum production, prevents the appearance of black spots and pimples, and gives the skin a radiance. This is how the Clay Magic masks work.

Features of the masks “Magic Clay”

Contrary to popular belief, clay masks are needed not only for those with oily skin. These L’Oréal Paris home beauty products are designed to meet the most diverse needs of the epidermis. What types of clay are included in their composition?

Kaolin

White clay owes its name to the “high mountains” (Gao Lin) of China, where it was once discovered. Of particular value to the skin are its absorbent properties, namely, the ability to absorb pollution. In addition, kaolin mainly consists of silicon oxide necessary for humans.

It is well known that silicon and its derivatives (silicates) are the most important element for both the skin and the body as a whole.

Gassul (rassul)

Dark gray-brown volcanic clay is mined in the only place on Earth – in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Local beauties have used this clay as soap since ancient times. It has absorbent properties and is rich in minerals.

Silicon, magnesium, iron, calcium, zinc – all these trace elements heal, enrich and nourish cells. Thanks to them, ghassoul can be used for both sensitive and aging skin.

Montmorillonite

“Bleaching clay” was mined in the middle of the XNUMXth century in France near the town of Montmorillon. Later it turned out that it had long been used in the Crimea, Georgia and other regions of the world. A rock similar to montmorillonite has even been found on Mars. The absorbent properties of this clay are so high that it is used as part of some pharmaceutical sorbents.

In addition to clay, excipients are included in each of the three masks of the line.

  • Coal – the best detox remedy, perhaps, has not yet been invented.

  • Eucalyptus – an ideal natural antibiotic, disinfects the skin, helps eliminate micro-inflammation, strengthens local immunity.

  • Red algae – an element of thalassotherapy, an effective ingredient in anti-aging cosmetics. Algae tighten the skin, supply the epidermis with useful substances.

  • Lemon yuzu – evens out skin tone, gives it radiance and gives a real charge of citrus freshness.

The principle of action on the skin

Core strength of clay:

  1. deep cleansing of the skin;

  2. detox effect;

  3. saturation with minerals, primarily silicates (silicon derivatives).

The enriched composition of the masks allows them to act as efficiently as possible:

  • regulate the separation of sebum (oily skin);

  • smooth wrinkles (fading skin);

  • provide radiance (dry skin).

Types of face masks in the “Magic Clay” line

“Clay magic” has four formulas:

  1. cleansing mask for oily skin;

  2. brightening and evening tone mask;

  3. smoothing scrub mask;

  4. radiance mask to improve complexion.

Along with jars designed for 10 applications, you can purchase a bag with a mask for one procedure – for testing.

Face mask “Radiance and even tone”

The pleasant creamy texture and refreshing formula of the mask includes three types of clay, apricot kernel powder for even more effective exfoliation and radiance of the skin, and yuzu lemon extract, which, in addition to a bright, refreshing aroma, helps to brighten and even out skin tone.

Mask-scrub “Exfoliation and narrowing of pores”

The Exfoliating Scrub Mask is suitable for all skin types and, as the name suggests, has a dual action: scrub particles gently exfoliate dead skin cells and other impurities, cleanse and tighten pores. Thanks to the red algae extract, the mask has a pleasant pink color and has a smoothing effect.

Mask “Cleansing and matting”

Oily, problematic skin needs the services of this mask most of all. The cleansing and mattifying properties of the clays are enhanced by eucalyptus, known for its anti-inflammatory properties. And this allows you to see a significant reduction in skin imperfections after the first application, to feel its smoothness, softness – and no oily sheen.

Mask «Detox and Radiance»

Provides a detoxifying effect equally for all skin types and visibly affects the complexion, which is reflected in the name “radiance mask”. Three clays are combined with charcoal, which absorbs everything superfluous, restoring a healthy glow to the skin.

Mode of application

Masks are applied in a thin layer on cleansed, damp skin of the face, avoiding the areas around the eyes and lips. It is more convenient to do this with a brush. Clay Magic can be used in the morning or evening three times a week. However, the optimal time is from 19.00 to 22.00.

  1. Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Wash off with warm water. You can use a sponge, with it it is easy to soak the mask if it is dry (but it is better not to let it dry completely), and remove it without getting your hands dirty.

  3. Apply moisturizer.

The combination of Magic Clay masks is ideal for multi-masking. For example, “Cleansing and Mattifying” is applied to the T-zone, and “Detox and Radiance” is applied to the cheekbones and cheeks. You can combine masks as you like, taking into account the needs of your own skin.

Common mistakes

  • Keeping the clay mask on your face for too long. This does not enhance the beneficial effects of nutrients, but only dries the skin.

  • Apply the mask to your face with your fingers. Firstly, it is more convenient to use a brush or a spatula, and secondly, hands are not always spotlessly clean, and extra bacteria in a jar of product are useless.

  • Wash off the mask with your hands. It is much longer and not very convenient, it is better with a sponge.

  • Forget about moisturizer after the mask. Together with toxins and pollution, clay also binds lipids, which contributes to the loss of moisture. It needs to be returned to the skin.
