Mannik: how to cook at home? Video

The simplest manna recipe allows you to do without flour and oil. This lowers the calorie content of the pie, but all the same, in order not to gain weight, you will have to limit yourself to just one tasty piece.

You will need: – 4 eggs; – 1 glass of semolina; – 1 cup of sugar. For syrup: – ¾ glass of milk; – ½ glass of sugar.

Crack the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks white with sugar, beat the whites into a foam. In a container with yolks, add semolina and whipped whites one by one, gently stirring the mass from bottom to top. Take the time to beat eggs: if the whites are not fluffy enough, the manna will turn out to be flat and tough.

Grease a refractory mold with oil and pour the dough into it. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and bake the manna until golden brown. While the pie is in the oven, prepare the syrup. Pour milk into a saucepan, add sugar and, stirring occasionally, bring to a boil. Leave the syrup on the stove to keep it hot. If there is no milk, sweet pouring can also be made on water.

Remove the finished manna from the oven and immediately pour hot milk syrup. Let it soak in. Cut the pie into pieces right in the tin and place on serving bowls. Serve the manna warm or cold.
