The technique of correct nail design is not complete without the use of stencils. With their help, you can draw straight lines or depict patterns of any complexity. Make your own manicure stencils using plastic or paper tape.

Using stencils, you can make manicure in different styles. For a jacket, you need a variety of stripes – from straight to wavy, zigzag and even lace. Stencils will also be needed to depict monograms, hieroglyphs, flowers and other patterns on nails.

At home, the easiest way is to make stencils from thick film and scotch tape.

The latter is convenient in that it is easily attached to the nail and separated from it without traces. Use paper or plastic tape for documents, it is convenient to cut strips or circles from it for a jacket and moon manicure. The only disadvantage of this option is disposability. After use, stencils stained with varnish will have to be thrown away.

Plastic onlays are suitable for depicting a variety of designs on nails. They can be used multiple times. After use, wipe off the remaining varnish, rinse the stencil and put away for further storage.

The most popular nail stickers are very easy to make. Stock up on duct tape and sharp nail scissors. Think over the design of the future jacket and determine the exact size of the overlays. Make at least 10 stencils: the work will need to be done on all fingers at once.

When cutting out stencils, make a few pieces in reserve. If one strip breaks, you will not need to be distracted by cutting a new one.

For a classic jacket, you will need arcuate stripes. The steeper the bend, the longer your fingers will look. The extravagant option involves wedge-shaped stencils, with which you can draw pointed tips. For special occasions, lace stencils are suitable, their edge is cut with small teeth.

If you are planning to do a trendy moon manicure, use stencils in the form of circles. They are superimposed on the base of the nail and allow you to make a free hole of various sizes. The best material for moon stencils is stationery plastic tape.

Put the film on a piece of paper and cut the contours of the picture with a sharp stationery knife. Carefully remove the cut strips – the stencil is ready. Before using it, apply two coats of background polish to your nails and dry well. Then place the stencil on the plate and paint over it with thick enamel for the drawing. Make sure that the varnish does not flow under the film.

Carefully remove the cover and allow the varnish to fix. Then cover the nail with a top coat with a drying effect. After a couple of minutes, the manicure will harden, and you can proceed with the design of the next nail.
