In addition, jam has considerable benefits, because it is rich in vitamin C, it also contains provitamin A and vitamin K, various trace elements and fiber. You can prepare this sweetness in different ways, but in any case, its taste will be excellent.

To make jam according to this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 kilogram of tangerines
  • 1 kilogram of sugar
  • lemon juice to taste

Take small, whole, ripe fruits and put them in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a container with ice water for 8-10 hours, it is advisable to change the water several times during this time. This treatment must be carried out so that the citrus peel becomes softer.

Pour sugar into a large enamel bowl and pour a liter of water. Put it on low heat and boil the sugar syrup; remove the tangerines from the water. Pierce each fruit with a knitting needle in the middle (along the slices) and transfer to a bowl of boiling syrup. Remove it from the stove immediately and let the citrus soak.

After 6-8 hours, put the bowl with the fruits on a small fire. If there is very little syrup left, add sugar water to the bowl (dissolve a glass of sugar in a glass of water). To taste, you can add juice or grated zest of one lemon to the jam. While stirring constantly, bring the tangerine syrup to a boil and turn off the heat.

After 4 hours, check if there is enough sugar in the dessert and continue simmering for 20 minutes. Then let the jam sit again for 4 hours. After that, check it for readiness and cook it if necessary.

To check the readiness of the jam, you need to drop a drop on a saucer. If the drop spreads, then the jam is not ready. The drop has retained its shape – the dessert is ready to eat
