Managerial competence — this phrase is understood as a personal or business quality, skill, behavior model, the possession of which helps to successfully solve a certain managerial task and achieve high results. The lack of one or another managerial competence in a person reduces his competence in the managerial sphere. The more managerial competencies a leader has, the more competent a manager he is.
Examples of managerial competencies:
- Ability to give orders.
- Ability to resolve conflicts between employees.
- Willingness to make decisions (including difficult ones, for example, on the dismissal of employees).
- Result orientation. (See Result)
- Skill to work in team.
- Delegation of powers.
- Employee motivation.
- Time management
