PSYchology

Managerial competence — this phrase is understood as a personal or business quality, skill, behavior model, the possession of which helps to successfully solve a certain managerial task and achieve high results. The lack of one or another managerial competence in a person reduces his competence in the managerial sphere. The more managerial competencies a leader has, the more competent a manager he is.

Examples of managerial competencies:

  • Ability to give orders.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts between employees.
  • Willingness to make decisions (including difficult ones, for example, on the dismissal of employees).
  • Result orientation. (See Result)
  • Skill to work in team.
  • Delegation of powers.
  • Employee motivation.
  • Time management
