Male reflex

Men don’t like shopping? Only not when there are no women next to them. An interesting correlation was revealed by scientists from the University of Minnesota (USA).

The fewer women around them, the more money single men are willing to spend on themselves. Psychologists from Minnesota (USA) invited young bachelors to study the results of the population census, and then draw up a financial plan for themselves for the coming year. Those who found that there were not enough women in their region were willing to save less for the future, but by 84% per month – to increase credit card debt *. “In the animal kingdom, when there is a shortage of females in the population, males compete with each other,” says study author Vladas Griskevicius. “Men, feeling themselves in the majority, also unconsciously join the competition, but only through money and things.” Women in self-care, by contrast, are wisely consistent and spend the same amount regardless of demographics.
