For the spring / summer show, Peter Philips, Creative Director of Makeup for Dior, created a modern, radiant look using different shades of pink. For several seasons, the clean, barely highlighted by makeup faces of the models have become the make-up artist’s signature technique when working with Raf Simons’ collections.

“I wanted to create a radiant makeup based on the idea of transparency and softness, which would exist in harmony with the pastel tones of the Raf Simons collection. It’s a beauty illuminated from within with a touch of eroticism, ”says Peter Philips. “This image is in line with the poetic setting of the room, where a huge amount of fresh flowers are added to an incredible garden,” adds the makeup artist.

Peter Philips created a light, delicate and even tone. He says, “I applied a thin coat of Diorskin Star Fluid for a shimmery finish, then added shine with the Diorskin Nude 001 Glowing Gardens Glowing Pink palette coming in the spring makeup collection. I applied this product with a light veil on those parts of the face that catch light, especially the cheekbones.

Finally, the makeup artist created a subtle blush with a light touch of Diorblush 844 Glowing Gardens Floral Pink.

Peter Philips used the center pink shade of the 5 Couleurs 451 Glowing Gardens eyeshadow palette for a delicate pastel makeup. “I applied the shadow in a very thin layer all over the eyelid, creating only a cloud of color on the upper eyelid, which was very gently shaded towards the brows. To enhance the look, I highlighted the lash line with Diorshow Color and Contour 757 Orchid rosewood eyeliner, which I also shaded towards the temples. “

To maintain cleanliness, Phillips did not dye his eyelashes, but slightly emphasized his eyebrows with a powder pencil and Diorshow Brow Styler transparent gel.

“To give my lips a soft touch, I moisturized them with Dior Addict Lip Glow and then tinted them with Dior Addict 266 Delight, a delicate pink.”

Pastel shades of Dior Vernis varnish were used in the manicure: 491 Lilac, 302 Garden, 301 Bleuette, 650 Pivoine.

The hairstyles for the show were traditionally created by stylist Guido Palau. He parted his hair into a neat center part and pulled it back into a low, flowing ponytail. The front strands framed the face, accentuating the cheekbones. A choker necklace woven into the base of the tail gave sophistication to the hairstyles.
