Makeup for mature skin. Video tutorial

Good makeup can dramatically improve your appearance, even if deep wrinkles appear on your face. Avoid daring experiments in favor of quality products and classic application patterns. Correctly selected cosmetics will refresh your look and visually rejuvenate your face.

Base, tone and other features of age-related makeup

A properly selected makeup base will rejuvenate a mature face and prevent the foundation from falling into the pores, highlighting fine wrinkles. Choose a product based on your skin condition. The yellowish base will perfectly hide age spots. If your problem is broken capillaries, choose a greenish base. A gentle lilac remedy will remove earthy skin tone and dullness.

To quickly restore skin tone, apply a few drops of lifting serum before makeup

Be sure to apply foundation on top of the base. It will help hide fine wrinkles, and make deep ones less noticeable. Look for a light, moderately dense, lifting effect with reflective particles. Do not buy mattifying foundations, they will make your face too dry and brutally accentuate wrinkles.

The color of the product depends on your skin tone. It is best to choose a cream with the help of testers in the store. Apply three to four versions of the cream on the lower part of the face – the perfect tone will blend in with your skin. If the cream appears to be yellow, it is a bit dark for you. A greyish product, on the other hand, will turn out to be too light.

The skin can be lightly powdered with quality loose powder. Apply it with a puff or fluffy brush, this method creates a very thin veil. Do not use a compact powder, it is too dense and dry for aging skin. Remove excess shine with matting wipes, they do not spoil the makeup, easily removing excess sebum.

If your skin has a lot of wrinkles, skip the powder or apply it only to the cheekbones and nose. Gathering in the folds of the skin, the powder will only emphasize its uneven relief

Be sure to use blush. Eliminate overly dark brick shades by opting for noble muted tones of nutmeg, almond, wilted rose, or red wine. Apply the blush to the highest point of the cheekbones and rub well with a fluffy brush.

Distracting attention: eyes and lips

Wrinkles-rays in the corners of the eyes are not a reason to refuse fashionable makeup. Choose a delicate eyeshadow with a satin texture. Deaf matte products accentuate wrinkles, and shiny ones will quickly spread, making the makeup rough and sloppy. Give preference to stylish tones of light and muted colors – golden, pearl gray, lavender or greenish-beige shades will beautifully set off the iris of the eyes and distract attention from skin imperfections. If the skin of the eyelids does not hang over the eyes, you can slightly emphasize the contour with a pencil – dark blue, brown or mossy green.

Don’t let your lower eyelid down; you will only draw attention to uneven skin. Better to use a mild, creamy gold tone concealer.

Apply it under the eyes and on the inner corners of the upper eyelids, this technique will make the look more open

Choose a mild lip balm for your lips. Do not use dry persistent lipsticks or oily sheen. The former are very dry lips, emphasizing wrinkles, and the latter flow, making the contour of the mouth blurred and sloppy. If your lipstick feels too thick, apply a thin layer of moisturizer underneath.

The shade of lipstick depends on your skin tone, hair and your makeup style. Warm and neutral tones are suitable for most women of elegant age – terracotta, tomato, coral, sand. If you are of the cool color type, try on shades of rosewood, pinkish lilac, or light cherry.
