It is known that a glance is a reflection of a person’s state of mind, and the color of the eyes can indicate the peculiarities of his character. Women with blue eyes can be idealistic, romantic and touching natures, or, on the contrary, they can be very rational and cold. It is not known what qualities there are more in the character of blue-eyed eyes, but each of them should be able to emphasize the beauty of blue eyes with the help of makeup.
Makeup technique for blue eyes
This makeup technique is versatile. You can change the combination of shadows, their quantity, the intensity of application, and this will change the very nature of the makeup. Brighter and darker shades are suitable for evening, and lighter and lighter ones are suitable for work or a romantic date.
Step one: applying the base
You can use a specialized product as a base, applying it to the eyelids and blending well with a medium brush. Concealer combined with powder is suitable for the same purpose. With a thin brush (or with gentle strokes of your finger), you can apply the base to the lower eyelid.
Step two: applying the eyeshadow
First, decide on the color of the shadows that you will use. Be guided by how the different shades are combined with the color of your eyes. This is how you can create a harmonious, color-balanced makeup for blue eyes. It is known that they are great for blue and blue eyes:
- all shades of the sea wave;
- turquoise;
- pale blue;
- cool shades of green.
More saturated and darker shades of blue are suitable for gray-blue eyes. You can also use all shades of orange for blue eyes, as blue and orange are in opposition on the color wheel. This means that they can emphasize each other favorably.
To create a deeper and more voluminous makeup, use the rule of color gradation in makeup: light shadows are applied to the eyelid, and an accent is made at the corner of the eye with a darker shade.
- Apply light blue eyeshadow evenly to upper lids with a working brush. Feather the upper borders of the shadows just applied. This can be done with a special blending brush.
- Using a pencil brush, highlight the inner corner of the eye with a matching shade, do not forget to shade the applied shadow a little again. To highlight the inner corners of the eyes, you can use lighter shadows (pearlescent or light blue), this will create a feeling of openness.
- On the outside of the crease above the upper eyelid, apply a darker and matte shade of blue or dark blue eyeshadow, blend along the upper border. This will add depth to the look.
- Using a working brush, apply a small amount of a dark shade of eyeshadow to the outer half of the lower lid. Use a lighter shade for the inner half.
Step three: finalizing the makeup
Apply highlighter to the area under the eyebrow for a radiant, “sculptural” make-up effect, apply mascara. Optionally, you can highlight the lash lines with a black pencil. This will make the makeup look even more expressive.
