How to keep your skin as comfortable as possible
Dry skin can look very beautiful – invisible pores, pleasant color, no oily sheen. However, she has a lot of problems. This type of skin is prone to flaking, rapid formation of wrinkles. Tightness gives a feeling of discomfort, and makeup on dry skin does not fall too beautifully. Cope with all the troubles will help the correct set of cosmetics – both care and decorative.
Before applying makeup, you need to prepare a makeup base. First cleanse your face with a mild alcohol-free toner, micellar water, or floral hydrolate. These products do not irritate dry skin, gently removing dead cells and dust. The serum can then be applied to the face. Choose between an intensely moisturizing or nourishing product. Experts recommend alternating serums, using them in courses of 2-3 weeks. The concentrate is instantly absorbed without leaving a greasy film and allowing the skin to breathe.
Faded, finely wrinkled skin can be slightly tightened with a lifting serum. Remember to apply it to your eyelids and chin area.
If your skin is too dry, a moisturizer can be applied over the serum. Choose products with sunscreens – dry skin can be painful to the sun. It is not necessary to apply the cream all over the face – apply it pointwise, only on the areas especially suffering from a lack of moisture. Pay attention to the cheekbones and the area around the eyes: in these places the skin is especially tender and dries more often.
How to choose a makeup base
It is not enough for owners of problem skin to simply moisturize their face. Dry skin can have visual defects: irritation, bursting capillaries, bruises under the eyes, scars and fine wrinkles. A properly selected base will help to hide them. Opt for a non-greasy silicone-based product – it will envelop your face in a delicate veil and reliably hide all your problems. In addition, such a base will keep the makeup fresh for a long time, and it will not require correction for several hours.
Choose the type and shade of the foundation depending on the condition of the face. Dry skin often looks dull and lifeless. A base with particles of mother-of-pearl or golden pigments will help to give it a delicate shine. An earthy shade is neutralized by a pale pink or lilac base, and a greenish base will cope with redness. On top of the base, you can apply foundation or powder.
It is better to apply the silicone base over the serum – this way you will solve the problem of moisturizing and masking. Drive it in with your fingertips – the product is quickly absorbed and lies in an even layer. Don’t use too much base: a pea-sized portion is enough for the entire face.
