Makeup after 40 years: video tips

As the hero of the famous movie said: “After 40 years, life is just beginning.” And, of course, reaching this happy age is not at all a reason to stop using cosmetics. It’s just that when choosing it, you need to take into account the changes in your appearance.

Make sure your foundation, foundation after 40 and powder should be slightly lighter than your natural skin tone – this will refresh you and make your face look younger. When choosing a foundation, apply a small amount to the neck area and blend. If this area does not differ in color from the rest of the skin, then you have chosen the right product. To mask rosacea (pronounced blood vessels on the face), use a greenish foundation. Pink tones can emphasize age-related changes in the skin, so it is better to give preference to beige and pastel shades.

Gray hair makes the face look paler. In this case, you can use light pink blush, which is applied not to the cheekbones, but directly to the cheeks.

Both the base and the powder are applied in one thin layer, otherwise the excess of cosmetics will only accentuate wrinkles and sagging skin

To mask the bruises under the eyes, apply concealer with a soft brush. In this case, the following rule must be taken into account: reddish bruises are successfully hidden with a light yellow corrector, bluish – pink or peach.

If you are used to using an outline pencil, keep in mind that the black arrows will give you a tired, vulgar look. Better to use a dark gray or brown soft pencil that you can shade.

Choose a shade of soft beige, pale blue, gray, olive, cream or peach, depending on the color of your eyes. Mascara can also be used in brown or dark gray, without the need to dye the lower lashes. It is enough to emphasize the line of the lower eyelid with a soft contour pencil. Pay attention that the mascara does not roll into lumps on the eyelashes – it looks rough and sloppy.

Monitor the condition of your eyebrows: adjust the shape, remove coarse long hairs. You can tint the eyebrows with a brown and dark gray soft pencil, drawing strokes between the hairs.

Avoid bright, contrasting colors and sharp lines – they accentuate age-related changes in the face

Cover the wrinkles around the lips with foundation and powder, without overusing these products. Outline the lips with a contour pencil a shade darker than lipstick. Choose a lipstick that is close in shade to the color of your lips – pinkish or coral. If you can’t hide problem areas, apply only gloss to your lips so as not to draw attention to age-related changes.
